I received a lovely email from a client today - and this is exactly why I do the job I do.
"Hi Lucy. We exchanged contracts today, so just thought I would drop you a quick email to thank you for all your hard work. You have been with us every step of the way, I would definitely recommend you to any friends or family in the future should they be moving home. Thanks once again."

Results of November stress tests from the Bank of England show that the UK’s banking system could withstand bigger shocks than the global credit crisis, a report out late yesterday showed.
The report also said: “UK banks are prepared and strong enough to continue to serve UK households and businesses even through a disorderly Brexit.”
I think this is good news for customers in the light of all the recent scaremongering in the press, a report using real facts and figures.

It’s very busy here in the world of mortgages. In the last week I’ve helped these customers as well as others: * a lady get a remortgage through in a month * a lady with a default on her credit file which only came to light when applying for a new mortgage deal * a gentleman with low earned income get a great deal on a buy to let * a lady obtain a new mortgage for a house purchase following a divorce... * a couple get a great new fixed deal following a few interest rate rises on their discounted mortgage.

Please be aware that the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), have today voted unanimously to maintain the base rate at 0.75%.
The next base rate announcement is scheduled for 20th December 2018.
If you have a tracker mortgage and you are in any way concerned about possible future interest rate rises, please give me a call.

I’ve just made an appointment with my client to review her mortgage protection needs. It’s taking place in a curry house and I’m taking Rosie the border collie along with me. I have to say that this appointment does float my boat!

Well, what a lovely day I am having! Got to a follow up appointment this morning with my client to be greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and a couple of beers as a thank you. The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) have today voted unanimously to raise the base rate from 0.5% to 0.75%. If anyone is on a tracker mortgage, their rate will rise by 0.25%, either immediately or in the next few weeks.
