Lucy'S On A Plate

Great food. Interesting selection of drinks and fun staff. Slow service on the night we visited.

My wife and I had dinner at Lucy’s On A Plate, and we had the most amazing time. It is extremely cozy and romantic. The servers were great. The fish and chips were wonderful, and the dessert was to die for. We very much loved the Westmoreland Caramel Apple Crumb and the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Also, we met Lucy herself, and she is absolutely delightful!

Great evening out for a friends birthday. Service was excellent and food was sublime. Our waiter Ben was very attentive. Would recommend for any occasion. We even got a mention on the menu.

Looking for a dog friendly restaurant sometimes means you find yourself eating at places you wouldn't normally pick through lack of option. Well, tonight for the first time in years we found somewhere we would be happy to eat with or without our dog. Staff were very considerate when seating us; ensuring we were strategically placed away from other dogs. This meant we were able to relax more when dining.
The dining areas are very nice and the space is used to very good effect, not being overcrowded. Service was swift and the front of house were extremely attentive. The food itself is great. Well balanced starters which leave you wanting more. The mains are packed with flavour and full of locally championed produce. There is also possibly the largest dessert menu I have seen, each dish very different and very delightful sounding. If you want a relaxed dining experience with excellent food then look no further.

Good cocktails as well, I can recommend the espresso martini in particular.

A particularly fine visit to a restaurant I have been back to regularly for well over 20 years. Lucy was away this time but the staff were excellent - friendly, attentive, efficient. The food was exceptional too. Not a lot to criticise whilst it runs like this!!!

These guys are famous for their dessert and you can see why. Truly gorgeous!

Friendly and excellent service. Waitress is attentive and provides great recommendation. Yummilicious food. ..the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The lamb is juicy and tender.
