Situated in area of natural beauty and picturesque charming village, the Lullingstone Roman Villa is the cherry on the cake! Excellent and educational family day out :))

Really impressed with this place, despite it being an after thought on a very rainy day. Great for all ages & travelled with a disabled person on a scooter; was great access too for them. The mosaic flooring was beautiful, lovely artefacts and information easily & interestingly presented. Set in a beautiful location close to the Castle, would highly recommend. I've been to Pompeii & Herculaneum, all obviously bigger than this site; but this is still so worth an afternoon or morning visit.

Had a really enjoyable couple of hours here today. Lovely and friendly staff, excellent presentation of information and just remarkable finds. If you are have young children there are lots of child friendly activities to keep them interested. Definitely worth a visit.

Great thought and effort that has gone into exhibiting this ruin and it's artefacts. My 8 yr old daughter was spellbound and has asked for a return visit. The quiz that comes as part of the entry for children is a great tool to help explore the place. So much information presented in a clear and entertaining way. It helped bring Roman Britain to life. The staff were very friendly and informative too. The location is lovely, with Lullingstone Castle a short stroll away too. It's a 15 minute train ride from South London. Easy to access.

Great staff, interesting intro film. Lots for kiddies to do and all undercover. The mosaic floor is just astonishing and the whole site is well tagged and easy to view carefully.

First time visitor. Took my 9 year old because of an imminent school project on Roman civilisation she was doing, so perfect in that sense. The staff were very helpful, the exhibits were excellent, and the step by step guide to how the villa evolved was easy to digest. A good parking area, a great setting, and a nice shop.

First time visitor, really enjoyed it. My 3 year old loved it, especially the worksheet, she drew on it all day! Had a lovely wander round, great mosaic activity and dressing up. Children well catered for. Will be back. Great parking too and amazingly friendly staff. ( Please think about stocking a gluten free cake, the gluten eaters won't notice as there were about 10 gluten containing cakes so plenty for them to choose from, but nothing for Coeliacs.)

Excellent day out. We visited with my two children aged 9 and 7 and they both enjoyed it and we all learnt lots. The information is well presented. There are worksheets for the children to fill in as they walk round. The staff were very helpful and enthusiastic.

Been many times, still find thinks new, took friends with us who enjoyed their visit tremendously, rating it brilliant.

User

Amazing! So much to see, read, and do.

The children loved it, especially all the hands on interactive things. It really bought history to life for them. They wanted to come back the following day and do it all again!

User

A lovely place to visit. It caters for young and old and is wheelchair accessible. Lots of info and artefacts on show.

User

Well worth a visit. Sadly when we went there was a school trip there so we couldn't watch the video but the ruins and archeology are fascinating.

User

My 8 year old loved it all...younger son liked lots of it too...there was dress up, creative and lots of interactive areas. A good trip out. Nicely filled a morning.
