As lots of you are aware, we and our neighbors have had serious issues with the Boot Corner Trial. There is a big council meeting tomorrow evening at The Municipal Offices at 6pm that everyone who has been effected or is interested is invited to attend.

Helen had a great First Aid training session with Tidal Training Direct Ltd this week. We are seriously considering getting a defibrillator for the restaurant now.

Tonight - Round 3 Of The Great Cheltenham Wine Off! Lumiere Restaurant vs @cheltenhamgrape. Results currently stand at 1 all, so it’s all to play for. Jon has written a special tasting menu to be wine matched by both team (surprisingly difficult this year, so the results will be interesting!) Then our diners will blind taste and decide the winners.

Went here for my birthday. Fabulous food and service.

We were celebrating my parent's 62nd wedding anniversary - staff are very friendly and provide a warm welcome and great service. Chef is so creative, every dish a work of art and presented beautifully. The vegetarian options are a delight. Recommended for any special occasion.

We went to celebrate a special birthday. It was the tasting menu. These were many morsels of delightful flavour and texture. Each was small,but they kept coming so by the cheese course, I struggled to finish. Every course was sourced and cooked with design and passion. The lady who was clearly boss of the front of house knew each dish and all their wines. We were impressed. Price - not cheap but well worth a return trip. Will have to find more reasons for a special evening out.

We visited Lumière for the first time on Saturday evening for our wedding anniversary, it was a really nice treat to mark our special occasion. An intimate restaurant, serving superb food in taste & presentation and the service received was excellent. I would definitely recommend Lumière to anyone who enjoys the finer things in life. I can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed the tasting menu and it was absolutely divine! Helen and John have a winning formula, in presenting a relaxed atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. Everyone should sample the delights of Lumiere.

Lumiere is genuinely fantastic. An intimate restaurant with outstanding service and the best food you are likely to taste. I consciously slowed down in order to savour the amazing myriad of flavours. It is special. If you are thinking of treating yourself and/or someone you really care about, go ahead, you'll be delighted that you did.

Love this place so much, seats between 20-30, very intimate, attentive and very professional staff. Food is always sublime, excellent quality ingredients put together in a very inventive way, just a taste sensation. Deserves honours and awards galore

Friendly unobtrusive staff, beautiful and comfortable setting. We went for our wedding anniversary and had the taster menu with the wine flight. Exquisite. Lots of food i would normally avoid made beautiful and tasty. An exciting adventure paired perfectly with a selection of wine.

Excellent food and exceptional service. Every course of the nine course tasting menu was delicious! The external façade is very plain but once inside you will enjoy a bright and welcoming dining experience.

Absolutely amazing night of food and wine.

Taster menu and brilliantly paired wine with each course. My favourite was a totally fab mozarella sorbet with chorizo and watermelon. We had such a good night and the atmosphere is friendly and laidback unlike other stuffy fine restaurants. The service is brilliant and the servers obviously know the food and drink they serve.

Thankyou Helen and Jon for a really memorable night topped off by a lovely suprise at the end which just made it perfect! X
