Lunar Cycles

I've been taking my Rivendell touring bike here for a few years. While on the pricier, the service is excellent -- the best I've found in London. My partner, who has a Sturmey Archer internal hub shifter on her bike, also had an excellent experience -- in contrast to other shops that seem to have no experience with them.

More excellent service from Lunar Cycles - they are very knowledgeable about the intricacies of hub gears, and always transparent and open about what needs to be done. And they are excellent value for money. I highly recommend this shop to all North London cyclists.

If these guys are unable to take my bike, I wait until they are. It's worth the wait. They're that good.

Amazing service. Took my road bike (aka first child) for a few bits (bottom bracket; gears/chain/tyres/worn cable/tune up) before a big ride. They did a great job and spent a good deal of time reviewing the service with me and re-adjusting the bike for me which was great! Thanks guys!

The best LBS in London no doubt. No matter how cheap or expensive your bike, they'll fix your bike up without any issue. Even allowed me to get parts delivered to their store for them to use.

Location is not particularly convenient for me but I refuse to go anywhere else.

They did a really good job on my bike and were a pleasure to work with. Can't remember it ever riding so well, bit embarrassed I let it get in that state. ;)

Wish I knew of them before as both the big name brands nearby have butchered repair jobs for me in the past and *never* seem happy for the business for some reason that evades me.

I am happy to recommend this place. I took an old bicycle in hoping a bit of an overhaul would do the trick of getting it a bit more road worthy to do more than the odd local errand. The bad news is that I was told it was not economic to repair to get it in tip-top condition and that I'd be better keeping the money to put towards a new bike. The good news is that, in spite of what I assume must have been some time spent in assessing various problems, they would not take any money for trouble taken. It seems like a genuinely honest outlet.

I don't take my bike anywhere else and I am willing to travel from Hackney for the service. Their emphasis is squarely on servicing and bike builds and they do a fantastic job of both. They talk you through the repairs, give you options of whether to do non-essential jobs or not and they never charge you for anything you don't need. They keep in contact and up to date on repairs and ordered parts and they are a thoroughly nice bunch to boot. They are genuine bike enthusiasts and they even remember your bike from the last time! I rarely leave reviews and I never give five stars but these guys deserve it. Amazing service.

The best LBS in London no doubt. No matter how cheap or expensive your bike, they'll fix your bike up without any issue. Completely rebuilt/cleaned/serviced my cheap Merida Matts 20 MD in a few hours and it rides better than when it was new!

Brought my Cube Attain GTC SL Disc 2016 in at closing time. Part delivered to them and fitted and ready to be picked up next evening.

Excellent service all round. My bike was about to be shipped to France and was in desperate need of an MOT and clean up. We were leaving in a few days so it required a thorough yet a quick turn around. The owner/manager was really easy to deal with and managed to fit me in at the time and on day that worked for me, despite the short notice. He was polite and took the time to explain what was he felt he should do and the parts that needed replacing. The mechanic who worked on my bike was also very nice. Expert advice was offered and solutions provided. As soon as I have a new bike, I will definitely return!

By far the best bike workshop in London. Fast, transparent about repairs, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. Sick of having inexperienced mechanics from Evans and Halfords trying to repair/bodge my bike. Please ignore them and head here, I promise you won't regret it.
