BOOKWORMS:
Our September Bookclub meeting will be on this coming Friday, 7th September at 2pm. I hope everyone will be there; you are welcome to bring a friend. Several people have given me positive feedback on 'God Has a Name' and am looking forward to hearing how God has spoken to different people. If you are interested in reading, we invite you to join us. We have a relaxed approach to our reading and do not impose deadlines. Do come along and see if you like us!

BOOK AID
Until further notice, we are unable to take books for Book Aid. This is due to their warehouse being full and having no set date for an available container. We do not expect it to be too long before we are able to accept books again but at present our storage is also full.

Our 'Author of the Month' is Max Lucado and our 'Topic of the Month' is Bereavement. This is a small part of our range. Please ask a volunteer to show you more of our stock.

Please feel free to come and browse around our new gift displays, which have been slightly repositioned too and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee with biscuits for 50p. You can see them all around you.

BOOKWORMS: Our Bookclub met yesterday and we were thrilled to have two new members in attendance. The book we are reading for August is God Has a Name and it comes highly recommended. We will bring feedback to our next meeting on Fri 7 September at 2pm.

BOOKWORMS:
A week today, is our August bookclub meeting. This will follow the usual format but will be slightly more relaxed as a few members will be on holiday. We were going to read our book over 2 months I.e. July and August, as with holidays taking some of our time and children and grandchildren 'out of school', it is inevitable that we will have less time for reading. Please try to bring a friend with you. New members are always welcome and it's a good time to introduc...e someone new. I look forward to seeing those who can make it.

Are you having problems storing all your books? We take Christian books at the bookshop to sell as second-hand or send to Book Aid. Maybe this would be another option:

We have introduced a prayer board into the bookshop for customer use. When you have a prayer request and would like us to support you in prayer, please take a piece of paper from the pad on the board, write your prayer request which may be for yourself or on behalf of a friend or family member and you may write your name or leave it anonymous. Finally peg it to the board and our volunteers will pray on a weekly basis. Be assured, you have our support. If you need help, please ask a member of the volunteer staff.
