Luxulyan Memorial Institute Description

Luxulyan Memorial Institute also known as The Capt. T. C. Robartes Memorial Hall was established in 1924 as a recreation space for the young men of the village. It was built & equipped from money raised from fundraising activities by local people on land donated by Viscount Clifden of Lanhydrock Estate. The building was named in memory of his son Capt. Tommy Robartes who was killed in World War 1. Tommy Robartes was the MP for Bodmin at the time of his death.
Now renovated and updated consists of a room mainly used for meetings of local groups but suitable for private functions such as christening parties. also one room still used as snooker hall with a full sized snooker table
