Last night's dessert for The Guest Series with James Syhabout of Commis (Oakland): California bee bollen ice cream, figs & lavender meringue.

Spring’s (almost) here - which means, all the green things will be back on our menu! 🌱 To get you in the mood, here’s an asparagus recipe with chicken vinaigrette, buckwheat and a Burford Brown egg. (Link in profile) 📷 @pa_jorgensen

🌞 Perfect Spring vibes for some Friday afternoon Gruner Veltliner. From Slovakia, this Veltlin is made by Zsolt Suto and aged for 2-3 months under flor. It's also banging with white asparagus.

We’ve recently joined forces with Essex brewery Solvay Society, and have created a limited run of 300 bottles for the restaurant and bar. The Blonde Ale, made with East Kent Goldings hops from Gushmere Court Farm, has a crisp, malt profile and subtle hop aroma, which lends itself well to the spring season at Lyle’s 🍻

Wonderful flavour combinations and seasonal ingredients. A set menu filled with delightful surprises and a lot of skill. Pretty good value too.

User

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere. My favourite place to eat.

User

Truly delicious inventive cooking. Each course faultless. Fresh baked sourdough bread, yummy! Wine selected was perfect with our chosen courses. Especially the sweet wine with my amazing desert! Service attentive and friendly, thanks Ben! We had a lovely celebratory lunch. We will be back!

User

Totally amazing from start to finish everything had an ‘oh my god that’s unreal’ comment with every bite, well worth the trip (from Newcastle)

On my first night (but second time) in London, my cousin brought me to this restaurant that was just around the corner of where he lives. The menu was to die for, my favourite item was the "Girolles Burford Brown egg & Onion". The chef and his team are absolutely talented and clearly passionate about what they do. The food blew my mind. The atmosphere is chic and laid back. The waiter was very informative, kind, and helpful with the menu and wine selection. You must try a bottle of L'Arbois if you're more of a red wine lover- very special and unique. Will definitely come back!

User

Lyles is probably one of my favourite places to go and I return time and time again. The food is always excellent and staff are outstanding! Special shout out to Hannah who always looks after us when we dine there

User

Lovely, lovely place.

User

I've been to the MasterCard Guest Series hosted there twice now. A Scandinavian chef & a Mexican one. I would highly recommend to anyone. Gorgeous and surprising food every time.

User

I love it x

User

Great atmosphere with efficient and attentive but not invasive staff. They are all really knowledgeable about the food being served which by the way is amazing! Loved the whole experience and will definitely return.

User

Fixed menu and withou lots of options it can all be done well. And it is. The pace is right, the service is friendly but unobtrusive (e.g unpushy with filling glasses, short and sweet describing the difference she's). Edgy music (slightly louder than I like but not not intrusive). Not cheap but good value as a treat

User

Fabulous food, cooking, service, wine, booze.....I have been here about 20 times and it is defo one of my top 3 places in London to eat and spend time. Great work James and John.

User

Excellent lunch and good service. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Nice to notice that coffee served there is very good. Still quite rare even in good restaurants.

User

Chill place for lunch and a glass of wine. The smoked eel was the best dish I had! The rest were great but the smoked eel blew me away. And oh must order those Madeleines.

User

We came to celebrate my friend's birthday. Love all the food and service. Every bite from start was an experience. Personally I dont quite like the dessert. But friend loves it. 50% of our bill is from wine. We have total 6 glasses. For the price we are paying, we are disappointed with the selections... we ordered 6 different glasses, from £4.5 to £17 per glass. the cheapest wine actually tasted the best. And a nice gesture from Lyle's to give an extra dish with candle for my friend. I would definitely go again, but will not spend on the wine.

User

I love Lyle’s because it’s a splendid example of less is more. Seasonal. Fresh. Simple. Unpretentious. Delicious. Staff is good but could improve on knowing their wines.

User

I had dinner at Lyle’s before it gained its Michelin star. I made a return visit this month (December 2017) to test out the A la carte lunch menu. The food was just as good as I remember and the venue is still charming. I did not feel the service was attentive at lunch time - we were served by several different waiters and some were better than others - but overall it was still a good experience. I would go back for dinner.

User

Bit basic. Only thing I couldn't do at home was the dessert. Reasonable vfm and friendly service. Just need to make the dishes more interesting

User

Underwhelming and bland... nothing stood out as exceptionally tasty, some plates actually were a challenge to eat. Disappointing for this type of restaurant - wonder how the others can have rated it so high? Maybe unlucky the day went. They also decided to scrub the kitchen walls whilst we were still eating ( & the chefs were still cooking ) with dirty water splashing everywhere which was not very nice & kind of distracting...
