The centre provides half board accommodation and support for 39 homeless people aged 18 + . The Salvation Army is a Christian Church and a registered charity. The centre is located within walking distance of Ipswich town centre and other important amenities. The service provided at Lyndon House is for men regardless of factors which could lead to the experience of discrimination who have no permanent accommodation. Residents can gain access to Lyndon House 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and are able to add their own possessions to their room. Staff support is available 24 /7. This is a ‘dry’ establishment and alcohol is not allowed on the premises.

AlMS
1. To provide short-term accommodation for homeless people age 18 + , in a safe, secure
and supportive Christian environment, in which residents can live fulfilling lives in
an atmosphere of freedom and friendship.
2. To continually assess and endeavour to meet the needs of each resident.
3. To encourage independence through a Life Skills Programme with the aim of
resettlement into appropriate accommodation within the community.
4. To respect the privacy of each resident, their belongings and affairs.
5. To encourage in each resident, a sense of personal dignity, and to have that dignity
recognised by others.
6. To recognise each residents right to make choices which enhances their life style.
7. To acknowledge all basic human rights that contribute to quality of life.
