In today’s Mini Professors Science session, we learned all about mirrors! We looked at our reflections and how they changed when using different shaped mirrors. We also looked at completing symmetrical pictures using our mirrors. 😃

We would like to encourage the children in the Mini Learners room to either bring in or email over a family picture, which we can attach to our family tree. 🙂

This morning the Tiny Learners enjoyed playing outside in the sunshine. We played some football and found lots of different bugs 🐜🕷🐝 then a tractor came and cut the grass 🚜

Lauren and Olivia have been busy at nursery today transforming the Mini Learners room. We can’t wait to see the children enjoying their new environment. 🙂

Today the Tiny Learners have read a story about sea animals. Later on they got creative and made some jellyfish pictures!! 🐠🐙🐋

The Mini Learners have enjoyed observing the transformation of the caterpillars over the past few weeks. Now the caterpillars have changed into chrysalis’s it was time to move them into the butterfly net. This was a very delicate process and the Mini Learners did a fantastic job.

The Mini Learners have been busy preparing some surprises and breakfast bags ready to give out in the morning to celebrate Fathers Day.

This morning the Tiny Leaners have been busy making an ice cream parlour they enjoyed getting very messy!! Filling and emptying different size containers. 🍦🍨

Healthy Eating Week 🍏🍐🍇🥑🥕 Today we have been sorting healthy and unhealthy foods in to lunch boxes. We have also looked at the story Handa’s Surprise, we talked about the fruits in the story and then we practiced our fine motor skills to cut out the different fruit pictures. This afternoon we watched a slideshow on the computer which talked about ways to stay healthy too.

As this week is healthy eating week, we have been discussing the importance of brushing our teeth twice a day and eating lots of fruit and vegetables to stay healthy. The children enjoyed brushing the marks off the teeth and creating their own yummy fruit kebabs. 🍓🍉🍊🥝🍍🍌

In today’s Mini Professors Science session, we learned all about machines. We discussed different types of machines and how they can help us make certain tasks easier. We also created our own robots, working on our fine manipulative skills using scissors and mark making tools. 🚢✈️🚀✂️🖍✏️

Outdoor classroom day 🍃🌸- part 2 This afternoon we have enjoyed making water travel, making a den and enjoying an ice pop, investigating the hot chocolate role play tuff tray,a picnic snack, exploring the mud kitchen and much more. As you can see Pre-school have had such a busy day and it was so much fun! ☀️

Outdoor classroom day 2019 - part 1🌿🌸 Today preschool will be spending the whole day in the garden. This morning we enjoyed breakfast at the nature table and a Black Bird even joined us and ate a worm right next to our table! We’ve explored and investigated a variety of activities this morning including: rock painting, nature loose parts, bird watching, bug hunting, large scale drawing and much more. We have just finished our lunch and we have much more fun to come this afternoon so stayed tuned...🍃🌾

Day 5 of Science week complete ✅ Today we looked at creating bubbles, trialing what objects we could find around the garden that might make bubbles. We also looked at different sea creatures, researching and finding out information about them on the computer. 💧🐋🦈🐠🐟🐳🐬
