A little something just for you...

We have been staying on the caravan site this weekend and it's a great little site. Thirteen pitches all with electric and water. We decided to have tea last night in the Lysander, and I had the chicken burger which was huge and very tasty. The staff were friendly and professional.I will definitely come back again.

Visited today for Sunday carvery with friends and it was amazing! Very good quality food and fresh the meat choice was great. It's been a long time since I've eaten such a nice Sunday dinner in a restaurant. We will definitely visit again thanks Guys

"Steak offer night" 2 meals for £30 including bottle of wine.

We were warmly greeted and quickly shown to our lovely table for two.Paul asked which of the wines we would prefer and recommended a red Argentinian wine. A good choice very fruity and pleasant.

We ordered our steaks and how we would prefer it cooked,

They were soon delivered piping hot and perfectly cooked served with a portion of crispy fries and a mountain of lightly battered onion rings.

All served with a separate jug of mustard sauce, ideal for deciding how much you prefer on your food.

Pleasant waitresses asked if everything was OK.

Two empty plates and all dishes empty a testament to our enjoyment ,thank you.

The staff were very welcoming and the food was lovely. I cannot wait to come back in the summer and test the beer garden which looked stunning.

Thank You to the team last night for making my Dads birthday tea so lovely. My Dad is in a wheelchair and is living with Dementia. The service was excellent from every member of staff. The food was also fab. My Dad loved his gammon!!! Thanks for your kind friendly service. I train customer service and you guys rocked it!!

THANK YOU for hosting my birthday meal with 25 of us. The food was delicious as always and the service spot on - we were well looked after! Every guest enjoyed their meal and said how lovely the pub is. We had guests from all over the country and we always choose the Lysander.

Nice warm shower/loo block.

Just on the edge of York.

Power and water, inside a housing estate.

Great pub with high quality food and a super pint. Friendly and helpful staff.

Will definitely stay again if in York.

Omg went here tonight with the wife the food was amazing the ribeye steak was best iv had for a long time well worth going and very cheap in price will defo be going again

Not eaten here in a while so decided to give it a whirl. Me and my boyfriend came last night for a table we had booked for 7pm. I had chicken chasseur and he had the lamb shank. Both absolutely beautiful!! The meat was melt in the mouth. Our waitress was lovely and service was speedy. The gins on offer were superb. We stayed for the quiz (we was rubbish) � We will definitely be back to try more from the menu soon! Thanks guys!!

Lysander Arms York A huge Thank you to all your staff. We had fabulous day on Saturday to celebrate our parents Ruby Wedding Anniversary, the table was set wonderfully , the food was gorgeous and the gardens looked beautiful. My family are very envious that I can walk here and enjoy such a friendly place. Again Thank you

Lovely food with a lovely atmosphere 5*. Me and 5 friends had a variety of food and drinks and it was all delicious, we have ate here before and the food has been great on both occasions would definitely recommend!!

Excellent Saturday evening for my 50 th birthday , the staff couldn't do enough for us , all my guest commented on how excellent the night was ! The food was fantastic as always . Thank you for a great night �

Called in for lunch by chance as we were in the area.

Absolutely gorgeous food, the fish and chips were the best I've had in along time. Lovely welcoming place and staff. Would defo recommend.

We stayed at the campsite and ate in the restaurant.

The food was delicious and of a high standard. The campsite is small but has all facilities needed.

I think if you are staying at the campsite then maybe a little incentive i.e. 10% off food may be good.

Seams a nice pub,had a nice pint. Could’nt test the food as the kitchen was closed Monday and Tuesday in January. Nice clean and tidy small 13 pitch Caravan park. Facilities were immaculate but small with only one toilet and one shower. Will try again in the summer. Very convenient for York.

We had our food here for the first time it’s a Beautiful place instead and out, the staff were lovely and very polite. The food was ok the veg and the roast potatoes was a bit hard

Wont be visiting again. Went at 530 on a thursday, got inside to be told by a bumbling woman behind the bar that i wasnt allowed my pram in a pretty much empty place due to 'health and safety' and when asked what i was supposed to do with my baby she eventually spat it out that i should put her car seat on a chair...which to me is much more of a health and safety risk than having it clipped into the pram. Not sure what she meant by health and safety anyway as she couldnt explain it? Needless to say i left and wont be visiting again! Ridiculous!!
