Holistic Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy

Enso (japanese for circle) is also called Circle of Zen, Circle of Enlightenment and the Infinity Circle.
It symbolizes absolute enlightenment, infinity, strength, elegance, the universe, the void, single mindedness, the state of mind of the artist at the moment of creation and the acceptance of imperfection as perfect. In eastern culture the enso is often drawn open and incomplete and in this way it represents the beauty of imperfection. It allows movement and development towards perfection. It also represents the oneness of life and all things contained within it, the spirit of harmonious cooperation, personal development and refinement of character, the visible and the invisible, absolute fullness in emptiness, simplicity, completeness, endlessness, perfect harmony, the circle of infinity and the cyclical nature of existence.
As a chinese martial arts instructor and practitioner eastern philosophy is very close to me and I am strongly influenced by it. In all eastern health systems the body and mind are seen as a whole and are treated as one.
In TCM (traditional chinese medicine) the forms of treatments are based upon beliefs that differ from the disease concept favored by Western medicine. What is referred to as illness by Western medicine is considered in traditional Chinese medicine to be a matter of disharmony or imbalance. The major therapies used to restore balance are:
acupunture
dietary regulation
herbal remedies
massage
therapeutic exercises

According to my understanding this is the true meaning of Holistic Therapy.
