M2 Koi

Had a call from a customer who had a small garden and wanted to maximise on every inch of available space. We’ve named this pond “small but perfectly formed”. It’s compact but crammed with technology! @ 3,000 Gallons, 2m x 1m window, bottom drain, fibreglass and sporting a cool Evolve Hi-Flow 4000 drum filter with built in Amalgam UVC. Extremely tight space for the pumps etc but still enough room to walk around the pond. Pond has been running for around a week, lightly stocked and the water is great, happy Koi, happy customer!

Waterfalls, go BIG. This one has a 35,000 lph pump running a stream along the top of the “rockery” down a few steps. Crashing down there like Niagra falls. Pond still filling, gone past the 40,000 litre point!

Here we go again. A lot of Italian Porcelain! Second patio in this material, tricky to lay but looks amazing! Edged with black dyed screed to give the illusion of a floating patio. We don’t just do ponds.....

Those of you that are interested in Drum Filters and have watched our builds over the last few years will know we install lots of Evolve filters.
The Dracodrum units that Evolve have used since day 1 have in recent months been producing many faults, component failures. The Evolve filter is second to none and was being hindered by the drum.
With Evolve now using a UK drum manufacturer with a superb pedigree who don’t buy in cheap components from China (they make their own)!,... we will now get some consistency, and it gets better!
The Evolve/Burtons Drum can be linked to Seneye, UV’s, SMS modules that text you when the drum stops, auto feeders and some others I don’t know about yet!
To summarise, you will get the same superb bio box as always with Evolve but now adding a well built, reliable, high flow drum to it and a smart controller.
Please form an orderly queue as this will is going to be a popular filter for 2019!

Here we have a patio in Italian Porcelain planks. Sub base was laid last year as part of the pond project. Makes the garden look superb!

Customer self build. Customer poorly advised via Facebook forums and a dealer on which filtration he would need for his new 7000G pond. Spent £3,000 on undersized drum filter which had to go back and was then being fed poor advice on forums. I jumped in and sent him a PM with correct advice as I hate to see people following daft threads. I was invited to visit and a beautiful relationship begun. Lol. The pond is huge! 3m x 1m window facing the house and now fibreglassed. Shap...ing up to be a great pond and impressive feature in the garden. Customer purchased correct sized filtration and other required ancillaries from us. We fitted these for the customer as you will see below. The rest of the work is not mine so we have not posted these pictures. Struggled with space on this one due to the fact that the pond was built before we were involved so drains were already concreted in etc. The new filter is a custom built Evolve, capable of filtering a 10,000G pond. Has 4 inlets and an all Jap Mat media chamber. Amalgam UV, Medo Air pump and a large amount of extremely tight pipework. Fitted over 2 miserable days and completed in the dark! took 3 days too fill the pond!

Swimming pool upgrade to a pond. Kids grown up and moved out so was asked to turn a tired old swimming pool into a pond. Nexus 220 filter added, 110w UV, new skimmer, fibreglass, coping stones and a water feature. This garden now has 3 ponds!

Customer tasked another pond builder to build his new pond. As the job progressed the customer realised the contractor was not following the spec or normal pond building rules. He started to ask questions and do his own research but too late!, the pond was finished! We were recommended by other customers to go put it right. We had too replace the under spec glass and frame, Drop the skimmer by 3 inches and mount correctly (removing shelf brackets), move the bottom drain from corner to centre, install new returns giving the pond flow, remove and re-site coping stones, install air stones to pond, rub down the badly painted inner walls and fibreglass to finish. All this while the customer was on holiday. Moral of the story, always use reputable pond contractors!

Happy Customer. Moved into a new home with a tired old pond. Had Koi but not visible in the green murky water. Filters not running, liner leaking....3T of concrete, rebar, insulation, fibreglass, rebuild of old filter system, new pumps, UV, air pumps and clean water, oh and of course a triple layer viewing window! Why not. Happy fish and customer for a long time to come.
