Mac-Stock - The music festival where great musicians play to raise funds for amazing charities

24th March 6. 30pm - 12. 00

Headline act - Funke and the Two Tone Baby. The Americana solo magician who makes you think there is a full band on stage returns as our headline act. He’s rocked festival after festival this year and with new material coming out in time for Mac-Stock he is set to blow the roof off the Black Market.

Charlie Leavy – Charlie and her solo acoustic songs are going places. With recordings done and festivals headlined, she really is not to be missed.

Brian Stone - Everyone's favourite drinking pirate is back - you may want to watch your rum.

Jonny Wallis - The foxy half of The Fox and The Pirate, Jonny has a growing fan base that love the sound of his unique voice

Kate Auburn - If you were lucky enough to catch Kate at the first Mac-Stock, you know you are in for a treat. This young lady has talent by the bucket load with a golden voice and finger picking to die for.

Shank's Pony - Opening Mac-Stock 2017 are the wonderful toe-tapping, foot stomping sound of Shank's Pony. They could not make the first Mac-Stock so we are delighted to have them open the second.

Main Hall – The David Bowie Scary Monsters Stage

Headline act – The Stiff Joints. Formed in 2009 by a close group of friends all who grew up in Kidderminster. The nine-piece ska specialists are the perfect way to end a festival aimed at getting you dancing.

"The Stiff Joints plays an infectious brand of two-tone ska that makes it impossible to sit still when you listen. If you’re a fan of two-tone ska (no matter the era), you will like this band. " - Incognito Music Mag, USA.

Dirty Vertebrae - If you like your ska fused with hip hop and a bit of back beat, then you will love this band. They play at 100 mph so you best bring your dancing shoes.

Salmagundi - The East Midlands' leading exponents of Central European gypsy world music will bring their bright array of costumes and weird instruments that will take your dancing to another place.

Folk the System - From the depths of the Shires comes the fast-driven modern punk folk provided by the four guys who often have guests on stage - it could get a bit hot.

Muddy Summers and the Dirty Field Whores – Fronted by Gail Something Else, the four-piece all girl band play a unique melange of music that is influenced by jazz, swing, ballad and gypsy folk – this will be special.


The Bob Marley Uprising Stage

The Barsteward Sons of Val Doonican. Be prepared for mental mayhem as the brothers from other mothers play an array of pastiche covers that will have you rocking and rolling with laughter.

The Pink Diamond Revue - Back by popular demand from the first Mac-Stock, the two chaps from Berkshire and the mannequin return with acid infused serious dance music.

Doozer Mc'Dooze - Every festival goers' favourite folk /punk munchkin. What he lacks in height he more than makes up for with the energy poured into his guitar via his own brand social commentary songs.

Blind Fever – The band could not play the first Mac-Stock so we are delighted to welcome the raucous folk, tub-thumpers to the stage. Your feet will not stand still when these lads get playing.

Morris & Watson - Lizzie and Dan make a wonderful pairing and their very own brand of violin, guitar and great voices is a treat to be had.

Joe Knight - This young singer-song writer is really going places. Still at a tender age, he has already pressed his first release and has appeared on BBC Radio's Up and Coming slot; one to watch.

The Brilliant Band - Only formed this year on the back of Zoe Brilliant's success at the first Mac-Stock, backed by Davy Malone, Doozer McDooze, Skeg and possibly others, this promises to be a very lively set.

The Star Botherers - Mac-stock wouldn't be Mac-Stock without these guys. They throw everything at the kitchen sink - even the kitchen sink! We open Saturday with their skiffle, singalong, folk, punk. social commentary songs that will set the tone for the day

The Sunflower Thieves - They say the summer is yet to come, well The Sunflower Thieves believe in summer all year round. The female duo of Amy Illingworth and Lily Stuart-Bolshaw play guitar, organ and harmonise like angels.

The Ari Up Acoustic Stage

Headline act - Avital Raz. Coming to you direct from playing the Big Top at Beautiful Days, Avital is a truly unique artist. Dark and challenging lyrics are backed by music that is influenced by a variety styles from at least three continents.

Bella Kardasis - If you admire guitar skills and appreciate someone that could give any big named star more than a run for their money then you really do not want to miss Bella. Her set will really be one for the muso's and I suspect a fair few fellow guitarists will take the time to be inspired by the incredible talent that is Bella Kardasis.

Bethany Jowett - Hailing from Nottingham, this young and talented singer-songwriter plays a mixture of her own material and covers of artists such as London Grammar, Chris Isaak and Gnarles Barkley. Her soft, melodic voice is bound to charm you over alongside her Uke and guitar playing

Chuck SJ Hay - Chuck tends to use her acoustic guitar more like a machine gun come machete than musical instrument, but next March she will be playing her chilled set (We’re not saying she's talented but her own catalogue of songs covers nearly three hours of work) which she informs us she's looking forward to playing.

Davey Malone - One third, and the lead man of Hobo Jones and the Junk Yard Dogs, Davey is setting out on the road with his solo set. We are delighted that we will be one of the first festivals of 2017 that he plays at.

Emma and the Professor - The joyous sound of this duo will be gracing the Ari Up Acoustic stage where they will be playing a set of their own folk influenced tracks. If you have not heard Emma's voice before you will be doing yourself a criminal injustice if you don't take this chance

Rob Lowdon - Sheffield's imported Scotsman via Grimsby and Gainsborough, he sings his own songs and a few classics ballads that have been 30 years in the perfecting.

Tich Vango - The lead man from The Silk Road will be playing his own sings to the sound of his mellow guitar. He's currently writing new material and you will be some of the first to hear it.

Skeg - One of the loveliest men to strum a guitar, Skeg makes no bones about the hard-hitting lyrics he writes and to which he puts music. Tune in - don't tune-out.

Tori Sheard- Our youngest musician at Mac-Stock but boy has she got a musical maturity well beyond her years? She counts the likes of Vera Gull and Holly Fallon as influences for her writing. Expect to hear a bunch of new songs from the Nottingham teenager.

The Brewer's Daughter - Rhiannon Crutchley needs no introduction to anyone that has visited any of Gail Something-Else's stages. Be prepared to be surprised at a an artist that is not afraid to sing in her own dialect about things that matter to her. For those in the know, she is also the fiddler in Tarantism - one not to be missed.

Natalie Smallwood - Another product of the Acoustic Roots scene in the East Midlands, Natalie writes and sings her own songs accompanied by some delicate finger-picking guitar. There is a hint of the 60's West Coast sound to her voice which floats so easily across a room.

As like Mac-Stock I, under 17's are allowed in free with one full paying adult per free child. They don't have to be yours, but they must be accompanied - exceptions will be made for single parents.

If you need somewhere to stay, please get in touch and we can make suggestions for local B& B places. There is no camping available on site although a very limited number of spaces are available in the Black Market car park for Campervans. Campervan passes are available through the ticket site.

All money raised over the weekend will be going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
