Second visit this year, we stayed in the Olivia suite in May for our 30th wedding anniversary, and have just retuned from an overnight in an executive double. This is a well situated hotel, with am easy walk to the town and theatre. The reception staff are friendly and halpful, and make sure you have everything you need. The rooms were clean, well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Service in the bar and the restaurant is good, and we have enjoyed all the meals/snacks we have had here. The hotel is being refurbished but it didn't impact on our stay and we will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely hotel,the staff couldn’t of been more nice or helpful, only problem we had was nearly being over charged at the restaurant but was quickly resolved by the receptionist, would definitely come back

Hotel is situated right on the river and in town. First time ever we were upgraded to a refurbished suite . It was really lovely to have that luxury. The hotel is going through a refurb. I hope the public areas will be done as well after bedrooms finished as it’s all looking tatty and carpet threadbear in places . We picked here as an overnight stay prior to flying from Birmingham airport. Had time for breakfast at Pierre Bistro which was tasty and didn’t wait long at all , although it was just after 7am. We left at 8am and except for usual M42 traffic, going was good to get to airport (just under 1hr). Would defo do this again and stay here.

Very nice hotel

Use the Swans Nest regularly, last visit was overnight on 18th August. Every time it's been a great stay. Nice comfortable rooms and a decent breakfast. Staff are always friendly and there's always a nice atmosphere in the bistro restaurant and the bar area. Seen people criticising the £5 parking charge but it's per visit not per night and having our car safe and close by is worth the £5 charge. The Hotel is perfectly placed and within a few minutes nice walk into the town.

Found the room a good size., on-suite was lovely, nice and central to the town. What I did find extortionate was the price of the breakfast!!!! £20.00 per head, I feel this is completely overpriced!!!!.

Nice old hotel, centrally situated for walking around Stratford. Check in went smoothly no problems, room spacious mixed reviews on beds.

The BIG problem was breakfast..... and the restaurant wasn't that busy ..... having been seated promptly, and drinks arrived, we then seem to become invisible as no-one came to take our order, eventually we did place our order and requested toast, well we got 2 slices between 3 of us, so requested more. It took and amazing 45 minutes for our cooked breakfast to arrive...... when it did there were items missing .... then too another 10 minutes to get replacement, however when we did get it it was barely warm, by this time we were beginning to loose the will to live.....

Sorry Macdonald hotels you need to do something about this, as we had a similar problem at your sister hotel Alveston Arms last year.

Good location, however the hotel was tired. Needs a complete refurbishment. Paint coming off walls. Wardrobe door broken.

Really wanted to dine in the hotel bar, but found that all tables were prebooked for a local quiz.

Breakfast was poor.

Shower not the best had to move about to get wet and no drinks after 11pm because someone forgot to order the bottles 😂

Good location. Hotel was tatty and needed a refurb. Rooms nice enough but air con broke and room boiling so no sleep. Had a fan but no plug near bed to plug it in. Over priced and on arrival came in back door to be greeted by dirty bed sheets on the floor....classy.
