Went to the Friday evening event and had loads of fun even though I am a bit rubbish at this sort of thing. Toasted tea cake was yummy but would be nice if you could offer some hot savouries like bacon sandwiches for those who have had to skip dinner to get there in time
We loved it, been wanting to go for ages and finally got round to it yesterday. The girls in there were so helpful and friendly, the menu was appetising even though we didn't eat, we did have coffee which were lovely. The prices for ceramics were slightly on the higher side but on our way out one of the girls explained to us about their yearly family membership which is something we are definitely going to do. Well worth the trip!
Took my twin boys and older girls here today, wonderful exprience! Fiona helped us get amazing hand prints from the babies and big girls! And they stocked vegan treats and oatley milk for my cmpa baby! Very friendly and helpful staff and a wonderful environment!
This is an amazing place, the staff is very friendly and nice, the coffee and the cakes very rich. My mother, my baby and I come back every time we can. We did a plate and a mug to commemorate my baby’s first Christmas
That’s so much for pulling out all the stops for us vegans! Just enjoyed a cherry ice cream thick shake with party rings! Best birthday breakfast ever!! Xxxx
Superb staff, always happy to help and accommodate 2 small people!
One of our favourites 👍🏼
Excellent facilities for breastfeeding and baby changing! Thank you
So pleased there is somewhere local that is such a lovely place to come and paint pottery but that also has delicious decaf coffee. My 6 year old loves it here and the staff are always great with her, always on hand to ask advice and give tips. The friend fridays are great too - adult only and a good excuse to catch up with friends and create something too. My local cafe for lunch too - the brie and cranberry panini's are the best ;)
Perfect afternoon. The staff were so friendly and the place had a really good vibe to it. I can't wait to go back again and do some more painting/art therapy. Thank you for a brilliant afternoon. Love this place.
My friend and I met at Mad Hatters as a halfway point catch up. We fancied a cuppa and a natter and I thought it would add a little something to it.
I easily booked a table and found the place to be busy, bright and friendly. We were shown to our table and found our pieces, we then ordered our munchies and set to painting. We enjoyed our food and had a lovely catch up and didn't feel rushed at any point.
Id recommend Mad Hatters definitely
Lucky enough to move to the area December last year! Fell in love with this place & everything it offers <3
Last week my best friend who I only see once a year came to stay. We wanted to find something to do together and we found Mad Hatters Pottery Cafe in Sandhurst. On Monday last week my daughter and my friends son who are 17 & 16 decided to come as well and we all had a wonderful day. The shop is spacious which meant I could get around in my wheelchair without any problems. The staff were brilliant couldn't help enough and made the day really enjoyable. It has tables to do the painting on but it also has comfy chairs and sofas if you just want to come and enjoy the lovely café. You only have to pay for the item you choice to do so no hidden costs. When we explained that my friend had to go home on Saturday they said they should have them glazed in time. Friday morning they rang to say they were ready and we were over joyed. We are so pleased with how they turned out. I can't wait to go again sometime soon, I really do recommend this place to others who want to try out something new, who have done it before or just go and enjoy the café.
It was great, we really enjoyed it at the Mad Hatters Pottery Painting Cafe in School Rd, Tilehurst. It was cosily warm, spotlessly clean and bursting with inspiration. We chose a pottery item, vented our creativity all over it and then left our precious pieces there to be baked by the lovely ladies working there. Amazing coffee, cappuccino, tea and cold drinks available, together with bacon sandwiches, beautiful cakes and many other delicious snacks to satisfy the avid crafter! We were helped whenever necessary by the happy and friendly staff. We'll definitely go there again and would highly recommend the experience to Mums, kids and anyone looking for a unique and relaxing experience!
I would like to thank you all for going above and beyond as you always do when I bought my students in this afternoon
I was lucky enough to be treated, by a friend, to a morning at Reading's branch of Mad Hatters.
I fell in love with the place as it so appealed to my arthritis side and my love for coffee. Soooo many lovely things to paint, it was so difficult to choose what to do,as they had soooo much I want to decorate.
It was a great atmosphere, but my only down side was it was a little cold within the premises, on what was a cold day outside!
Turn the heating up please, as those of us with arthritis in our joints need to keep them warm to be able to become one with being arty
Had such a lovely day, took my mum for her birthday she was over the moon that we could make gorgeous keepsakes of my son's feet hands and even turn his bottom in to a Xmas pudding with the help of the lovely friendly staff. Looking forward to going again as far too much choice for one day
Great staff great choice great fun great food. We had a fantastic time
Great fun, staff really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it
Delighted with the service I received. Ladies were only too happy to help me to do my 8wk olds hand print and support me as I made a Christmas plate - even offering to hold baby while I did the writing. Impressed too how breastfeeding aware/friendly they were. Will definitely return. Thanks so much!
A group of us came last night and had a evening of painting, wine and pizza!
Was brilliant. Thank you to the lady who was working, gave us some great tips and help.
We’ll definitely be coming back.
