I've been shopping at Maidenhead for just over a year now since discovering them and I LOVE the shop. The fish are well looked after and they have the most beautiful bettas. The service is great, sometimes you have to wait because they take their time with each customer but I'd rather wait knowing the fish was going to be looked after better due to good advice rather than some shops who just bag them up and say "Sign here". I love that they quarantine their fish for several days before selling them on where as some do for 3 hours then off they go for sale. They have beautiful aquariums as well. I can't rave enough about them and they will "re-tank" your fish if you can't keep them any longer. I give them way more than 5 stars.

I hear a lot of negativity around Maidenhead aquatics and wanted to reflect on my experience yesterday. The Leicester branch is really good with a huge variety of fish to suit all tastes. I picked up some quality Manacapuru Angels yesterday. Very very helpful staff with huge wealth of knowledge base.

Big variety, well kept tanks, knowledgeable staff.

Being a new store it's always hard to judge but it's refreshing to see a place that's not rushing stock lvls and letting tank systems mature properly lighting wasn't installed when I was there just over a week ago but going to pop down again over the next few days to see how things are coming along all in all have high hopes for this place as everything seems to be being done the way it should be

A great shop that has a wonderful collection of the rarer tropical freshwater fish. Staff very professional and friendly and fish health excellent. Keep up the great work!

Good advice and selection. However, when visiting a few days ago there were at least 10 dead overall and a fair bit of waste/algae in most tanks. (I've worked at pet shops and understand that fish are fragile and with large stocks there will always be faitalities, but by late afternoon they should be removed). Overall a very good shop, just not the amazing 5 * "best aquatics shop" I'd heard about...
