Flues in voids has been a gas safety issue for some years now in which flues we cannot see should be accessible for inspection. The photo here is for an oil boiler which has since been replaced but shows how all heating appliances must be maintained and inspected on a regular basis.

Old (white) leaking cylinder out, new (grey) cylinder in. The white cylinder had been leaking and poor installation had made it a liability. The white round vessel which can way in excess 18kilos if full of water, was about to fall off the wall as it had been fixed with diy fixings to a plasterboard wall.

It was a tight fit but another pressurised hot water system installed doing away with the noisy unreliable shower pump.

An idea as to what is happening inside your gas boiler.

So lots of people saying its too hot. Im on the last safety check of the day and the boiler is where !? #40.5 C

Service time for these two beauties.

New unvented hot water cylinder installed. High pressure piping hot water at every tap / shower at the same time.

Did your boiler condense pipe freeze and stop your boiler working ? Often the pipe going outside is too small a diameter and increasing its size will help prevent it freezing so easily. The installation shown below has had an air break and additional outlet installed which will allow the boiler to continue to work in the event of the outside pipe freezing.

What a day ! 2 callouts to water through ceilings. Had to get on someone’s roof to clear melting snow leaking through into someone’s bedroom and on the way to next job with same issue i get stuck on a hill and have to be towed. #outinthesticks

Another sad leaking Worcester oil boiler out and a Grant boiler in.

Pressurisation unit added to large domestic property in Bath. This will automatically keep the heating system pressure topped up (while meeting water regulations) reducing air locks and associated problems. The unit can also be configured into a building management system if required. #betterpreventionthancure
