Jo has been a busy girl!!
Great British Game Week.....our offering on day 2 is Spatchcock Partridge with Chilli and Lime dressing fresh in the shop tomorrow. Simple cooking, 20-25 mins in a preheated oven at 220 degrees should do it. Leave it to rest, covered for about 10 mins.....enjoy!
To kick Great British Game Week off here's the first day's offering fresh in tomorrow......Pheasant Kiev with parsley butter and wrapped in bacon!!!! …..enjoy!
excellent produce, livestock, friendly helpful people and the new café is fabulous, tried out the breakfasts for the first time today and ticked all the boxes.will most definatly be returning.great value, excellent service with a smile, lovely quality meat and produce from the farm, and local producers.thank you
We have just been in for lovely coffee and what a lovely welcome we got. Staff so.lovely. Will definitely be visiting again
.
We had the most amazing Sunday lunch with Maisebrook wild boar leg as the centrepiece. Slow roasted with honey, pink peppercorns and crushed coriander glaze. The very small amount of fat was added too roast potatoes to finish them superbly. The juices made a stunning red wine gravy. The joint had been boned so carved very easy. Only sad thing is none left after 8 people all had seconds. Guess I will just have to buy some more!
The best neighbours anyone could have. We send all our customers to the farm shop knowing they'll be getting top quality produce. The care they show their animals is second to none. 5 stars for a fabulous service.
Thanks for a great afternoon. As a vegetarian, there were plenty of options in the cafe and stalls... and if I did want to eat meat, I would want it to be reared in the low intensity manner which you do. The shady gazebo, picnic blankets and live music made for an enjoyable break on a hot day, and I will be back to sample more from the cafe!
My girls absolutely loved the 'kids feeding session this afternoon. Lovely little farm, very welcoming staff and very noisy, hungry goats! Would definitely recommend
Just had the game roulade and it was absolutely delicious. So tasty and fantastic with some green veg and lentils. Have you any more?
It was my partners first trip here on the Easter Fair and with a baby on the way it will not be our last! Just love this farm and the lovely family who run it. Also can't wait to cook the Venison we bought today, another first for my man
I took my little girl to the Little Farmers session to feed the goats and she loved it. Really well organised lovely people and very interesting to hear all about them. Lovely little farm shop too. 😊
I don’t know which part I love about Maisebrook the best: the animals in the aviaries, the home grown meat and local produce, the people who run it, or the fun Summer fete we went to last year.
I brought some beef from the Maisebrook Farm Shop stall at a previous Bungay Street Market to make a casserole in the slow cooker, I had tried this with beef from the super market before and was very dissapointed that the meat was dry and tough, not with the Maisebrook beef, it was wonderful, even after being in the freezer for a month. Yes it cost me a little more (but less than I expected) but it was sooooo worth it! I will never buy beef from the super market again! Thanks Maisebrook, Im coverted.
I brought my 3 girls here today to feed the baby goats, they had such a wonderful time and a lovely experience for them which they will always remember. Thankyou to the two ladies who provide this class you were both so lovely and we cannot wait to join you at the spring fling xx
Have just had THE BEST MORNING ,5 starts is not enough.
Fantastic breakfast to start then myself and a group of friend learnt to make sausages massive thank you to Laura and David for a very informative, educational and hilarious time. I know David loves me really.
Totally recommend giving it ago. Looking forward to my sausage and mash for dinner now
Had a lovely visit today feeding g the lambs & the cheeky pigmy goats! Really friendly atmosphere with lovely people on hand to help & give info. Bought some delicious meat for the BBQ too . Will definitely be back again
Had a fantastic time feeding the baby goats today with our little boy for his 4th birthday and lovely items we brought from the shop. .
Firstly on arrival we was greeted by a lovely and helpful lady in the shop, we were looking for some young chicks and lucky for us they had some! Unfortunately a few weeks down the line we realised we had 2 roosters and only one hen, we contacted the farm to exchange one of the roosters for another hen, due to the busy time of year our message was over looked. However once it came to David’s attention he was very quick to arrange for me to return the little fella and sort out a replacement hen. Despite the hiccup with communication we are very happy with the chickens we have, everyone we had contact with was very polite and friendly, And my children have asked if we can return for a couple of ducklings at some point, so will definitely be back once we have installed a small pond
Excellent service and lovely meats.
I've just eaten the pheasant roulade with wild boar stuffing and it was excellent. Boar burgers and sausages are also a favourite.
Definitely something for every table in their shop.
Been to the easter fair today with my 3 children and since the moment we arrived we had people apologising for the weather etc. Then we got stuck up the hill to park and such lovely strong people pushed my car up the muddy hill while I revved the hell out of it probably getting them so muddy. I wanted to say thank you to the wonderful kind staff who whilst standing in the cold rain and mud were happy and smiley and were so helpful. We will most definitely be back next year. Thanks again the Turrells x ☓
Always good food and friendly service. I recently tried the venison bacon. It was a taste sensation. Hopefully they will have more next time I'm there.
