Historic Bury St Edmunds Georgian and Victorian streets have played host to Armando Iannucci’s film crew this week. A little video of action on Churchgate Street - Maison Bleue is located a few doors up, in a stunning heritage building with deep windows and an elegant modern interior.

Our little corner on Churchgate Street has been a hive of activity all week with Dev Patel filming Charles Dickens’ Classic David Copperfield. 😍

Our meal was one of the best I've ever eaten.

I had the beetroot salad - so colourful- for my starter, lamb for main - so tender; and my dessert was exceptional. Apple mousse - devine darlings!

The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated, in soothing colours. And spotlessly clean.

We were a party of 6, all of us travelling many miles to meet up - our friends were American and 'doing the tour' and throughly enjoyed their meal.

Thank you everyone for such a wonderful lunch!

Gout de France. We had the most wonderful evening of music, superb food and excellent service. Pascal served the very best of fresh, healthy French food which looked and tasted out of this world. Each course had a red or white wine which complemented the food. The waiting team worked really hard from delivering the canapes to the desserts always with a smile. They are a real credit to Maison Bleue. The restaurant was full but every one of us were made to feel special.

Once again we had a "first class dining experience" at Maison Bleue yesterday! Exceptional food, flavours and service - in what is most definitely our favourite restaurant in the area!
