le maison is one of our favourite local places. a few days after our getting married we had a beautiful private family wedding brunch here with a traditional teas and delicious food. the setting is very peaceful and relaxed on a comfortable lounge sofas. the views of dedham vale and immaculate gardens make it a gorgeous location for photos. we have some stunning photos from here and the children were playing nicely on the lawns, despite being a luxury venue it still feels you can enjoy feeling at home. the staff are always very polite and accommodating. we have stayed and visited here a few times and always enjoy the serene setting. it is a unique luxury hotel that stil feels cosy and restful.

Wonderful morning! Amazing massage and facial, left looking ten years younger! Food was delicious, staff are very friendly and the setting was stunning, would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Maison Talbooth for my husbands birthday surprise, we were not disappointed, the pool house and outdoor jacuzzi were out of this world, with the weather it felt like being in the south of France, so peaceful and serene. The food and the drink at the hotel was fantastic, our room, well it was incredible and very luxurious, the staff were so helpful taking our bags from the car to our room and a letter explaining we’d be taken to le Talbooth for our dinner reservation as soon as we were ready to go, taken in a very exquisite car it really added to our experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting a luxurious break away from it all. Worth every penny. Thank you we’ll definitely be back

Was a lovely hot stone massage ,lovely afternoon tea too.

Visited this afternoon for my best friends baby shower afternoon tea. Booked the garden room exclusively and it was beautiful � Staff have been amazing from the very beginning of booking via email and always keeping in touch. Even when arriving we were always checked up on to see if we needed anything. Food and tea was delicious! I’m already planning my next visit. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you ladies!

Very informal, relaxed atmosphere but beautiful, luxurious room and hotel. We stayed in the Keats suite, it was wonderfully decorated, the bathroom was fabulous with its walk through shower and sunken bath, the bed, pillows and duvet were so comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast and made full use of the outdoor pool and hot tub. I had a treatment which was also excellent and the staff very informative. I would highly recommend for a relaxing, "get away from it all" break.

Staff were very friendly and polite, nothing was to much trouble. We had champagne afternoon tea. Every thing was just perfect �

PERFECT. i cried when we had to leave. we stayed over night. driven to millsoms in the owners car by one of the lovely staff and brought back at our leisure. facilities and service just amazing. breakfast and meal at millsoms out of this world. we will be back. thank you

My husband and I visited for a child free night at MT (the venue where we got married) We had bed and breakfast along with dinner at Le Talbooth. The staff were wonderful and the food at Le Talbooth was amazing. We also tried the treatment rooms which were also very nice. The sun shone and we thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing in the pool house. We hope to return again. Thank you Maison Talbooth!

I was here yesterday with all my family for a Afternoon Tea & Spa session- celebrating my 30th Birthday. I have never visited before but WOW what a gorgeous place!

The staff could not do enough for us & they were very friendly & very good with the youngest family members too. The food was very yummy & myself & my two Sisters throughly enjoyed all our Spa treatments.

We was very lucky & had the whole pool house to ourselves. Complete with jacuzzi, lounges, sky fb, tennis court & honesty bar.

THANK YOU for the memories!!!🎉🍾🎈

Had a Spa day here yesterday as a surprise birthday present and the whole day was absolutely amazing. Fantastic massage and facial, dinner and an afternoon of Sunbathing by the pool. Was definitely what the doctor ordered after a very tough start to the year.. Will 100% go back..

Fabulous stay for hen party. Afternoon tea stunning treatment lovely. evening meal was exceptional along with staff. Had the place to our selves. Finished of with lovely breakfast for delicate ladies who had partied.

Amazing staff and outstanding service. I booked Afternoon Tea Gift vouchers for my parents as a last minute Christmas Gift. The staff went out of their way to hand deliver the vouchers to their home in Frinton-on-sea, to ensure they arrived in time for Christmas.



A wonderful gesture and greatly appreciated, which goes to underline their excellent customer service.

Absolutely fabulous! Very attentive staff, beautiful decor and a fantastic breakfast. We were lucky to have the pool, hot tub and pool house to ourselves in the evening which was an added bonus. Very nice touches in our room and we were grateful for the ferrying to and fro to dinner at La Talbooth (my favourite restaurant) in such a luxurious vehicle. We'll be back!

A friend celebrated her marriage celebration this weekend - I helped to decorate the grounds and a few areas inside from @jaysonweddingworkshop .

Venue, hotel, staff were outstanding! Friendly professional and amazing! I think you are brilliant and left after a hard day's work and enjoyment with a huge smile thanks to your team and experience! Ps the front of house manager is also very professional approachable and super friendly! X

Hap a lovely afternoon tea on the terrace. We were well looked after and the food was very nice. I know the weather is a little exceptional but a few more shades would be nice we ended up moving seats to be in the shade and put our cakes on the seat, cream and sun don't mix too well. But was still a very relaxing afternoon will look into an over night stay the rooms looked fab and the pool sounds very inviting

Lovely setting for afternoon tea. The staff had set up a table for us outside on the terrace and inside in the lounge so that we could choose where we sat when we arrived which was a great welcome. The sandwiches were good and the kitchen accommodated for dietary requirements by making a salad for one of our group instead. Scones were served warm and there is a good selection of teas. You also get a big selection of mini cakes. The cakes were a bit hit and miss and the most disappointing part of the tea. The egg custard slice and cheesecake were delicious but the macaroons were dry and the mini treacle tart was over cooked. After the afternoon tea was put on the table the staff did not attend to our table again and we had to get up & find them to ask for tea to be topped up, to order more drinks, to request a bill etc. The poor service at the end was a shame. A lovely quiet venue for afternoon tea with family though. We took our grandparents and it was a great quiet, comfortable venue for them. The afternoon tea is reasonably priced too at £24pp.

It was ok but considering the price of everything think we will be trying somewhere else next time. Bed/pillows were very poor. Lounge small and tight when just a few people there. Dinner at le talbooth was mega expensive and i really only enjoyed my main. Wine was £45 bottle and very nice but be prepared to pay big for everything. Overall i would give the whole experience a 7/10. Staff were polite and very helpful.
