Majestic Theatre Retford

�Fantastic night tonight at Gordon Hendricks Elvis show�Wish he would come again this year�

Yet another amazing night watching the "Re-Take That" boys at our wonderful local theatre. Thank you so much for bringing such fantastic acts to our little town and for all the hard work that the volunteers put it to make this all possible. Keep supporting our gem of a theatre everyone that we are so lucky to have on our doorsteps. See you again very soon.

The female singers were entertaining and Roy G Hemmings gave a sterling performance singing one fantastic song after another 👌👏 Cannot say how good this show is you need to experience it 👌Lovely surroundings, helpful staff. Thank you

We had a great time at the panto on New Years Eve! We came as a large family and not one of us was disappointed!! Thank you for starting our New Year’s Eve off in style!! We are now making new traditions and memories in our family and will be back this year on New Year’s Eve for your next panto!! Thank you to all cat and crew!!👌🏻👌🏻❤️❤️

We came to the performance of Swan Lake on Sunday, April 22nd. I bought the tickets for a friends birthday. We were on the front row. The performance was truly magical and mesmerising. The pure beauty and energy were amazing. We will definitely be there when they come back in November to perform Coppelia. The theatre was clean, the staff attentive and the whole evening was a pleasure.

Totally brilliant performance tonight of the Beach Boys story. Great tribute band and such a fun and glorious evening of wonderful Beach Boys' music. Just such a shame that not more people came and supported this group on their first visit to Retford. Well done boys, come back soon and we'll fill the theatre!!

Love The Majestic, spent so much time here as a child, then teenager, Saturday matinees were the best. So very special, so it's great to come and watch some excellent groups and shows. Staff are brilliant so helpful and friendly,but then that's Retford folk for you (as I am from Retford originally) this helps make your night. Visited last night to watch The Searchers, before my time, so was maybe a little hesitant when Hubby said he had booked tickets, but what a treat, first class night and throughly enjoyed the night from start to finish. As always I was up dancing, and plenty of room to do so. A beautiful place, restored to its former glory, so much love has gone into the restoration, by so many hard working volunteers. We will be back shortly, already looking to book for another excellent night. Did I miss the bar? Saw tea and coffee.

I love the Majestic Theatre, every preference we have seen has been excellent. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the theatre itself is full of charm with some lovely original features.

Looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks.

Would be fantastic if you could do hot chocolate to drink in the intermission.

Fantastic venue in the heart of Retford, whose staff are all volunteers! Bringing the best acts possible to our small market town! The Floyd Effect last night were simply outstanding! Saw Roy Chubby Blown just a few weeks ago too! Bravo and carry on folks.

Came to see ELO with my dad in April I think and they were just fantastic! Had a fab night really hoping they are back next year � pls majestic �

Been there for various events over the years from my daughter's dance shows with Louise Clarkson school of dance to various pantos to Mr chubby brown all of which have been fantastic. Well run by a brilliant friendly bunch of volunteers and the venue kept clean and tidy. Always a pleasure and will keep coming back.

Beauty and the Beast was absolutely fantastic, such an enjoyable show for children and adults and the venue was great, good food and drink facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. We’ll definitely be back to watch more shows here next year �

Absolutely brilliant time at the panto on new years day! We loved it and feel so lucky to have such a fab venue in Retford.

A Theater manned totally by volunteers great venue outstanding show worth every penny but make sure you have something to eat before you go

Went to the elvis tribute show gorden hendrix absolutly famtastic he need to be twice a year tho love it brill toilets to small could do will bit more room thank u great show x x

The show we went to see (that'll be the day) was great. We booked a couple of seats in one of the boxes on the balcony. The view was terrible. In fact I could only see about 10% of the stage. The people in the next box were having to learn forward to see the act because their view was also restricted. This made my view almost non. To pay top price for these seats is a joke. Fortunately we found a couple of seats in the stalls and moved for the second half .

Don't waste your hard earned cash on this crap! I Booked a "Michael Jackson" Impersonator Show, & the Show got Cancelled through no fault of my own... the Theatre robbed my Booking Fee... I won't be coming back to Majestic Theatre Retford ever again!

They Refunded my Ticket Money back but charged me a £2 Booking Fee which they claimed they never asked me for, and stood there and lied to my face telling me I'm a liar and that they never ever charged me a Booking Fee when they clearly did... Very unhappy with this situation! Even though it's £2 I worked hard for my Money and am not interested in people robbing Money off people, for a Show I never even got to see!! Lost £2 for a Show I never even saw, might as well throw my Money down a drain then...



People might think it's only £2 why am I complaining... You shouldn't rob people for a start & also how many people Booked that Show that Night & how many people was charged that same Booking Fee which you robbed there £2 from how much Money has your Theatre robbed off people for a Show they didn't go and see?



That £2 adds up if over 100 people Booked that Show? £200? Probably robbed off people... For your Theatre for a Show they never saw so I demand my £2 back! Sort it out!



I'm a massive MJ Fan and I'm in the "Michael Jackson" Community & told the Guy personally not to waste his time coming back to this Theatre to Perform! Good Luck on him returning.



Won't be ever going there again! & expect an apology and my £2 back immediately!!

Just got back from seeing Beauty and the Beast and in all honesty the only good things were the helpful staff and the ease of getting there! The performance itself was of a very poor standard for the price we were charged! After going to see Sleeping Beauty at the Sheffield City Hall I think we were spoiled. Alex Reid looked half cut! All I can say is what a waste of £44 and we will stick to Manor Operatic Society next year!
