A good cross section of characters in the regulars, laughs and good company a plenty. The beer and atmosphere is beyond reproach.

There is a tradition of amusing and excellent,(if slightly mad and erratic,) barmaids who seem to gravitate to this pub, a tradition which seems to be in no danger fading out in any hurry, (thank goodness for they are excellent and laugh a minute.)

I personally believe this is due to the warm, kindly, tolerant and welcoming nature of the resident landlady. I love the place and would choose to drink, relax and socialise nowhere else.
