In 2016 Lisa Edge, founded Lancashare Ltd. After many years in the public and private sectors and leading Employer Engagement divisions for FE Colleges, Lisa worked hard to listen to as many businesses as possible, in a bid to understand the difficulties they faced in succeeding. Together with around 100 employers, Lisa created Lancashare, a platform for the whole county to come together, share information, resources, jobs, funding, skills, events, awards, tender opportunities and so much more. She made the site completely free in a bid not to eliminate anyone and to give every single business in this county the chance to access the information they needed to make their businesses a success. At the same time, the site generates economic prosperity and connectivity as well as collaborative working to give Lancashire the strongest chance to working toward a common goal, 'to change the way our county does business'. It had the most incredible response, hundreds of businesses joined immediately and it continues to grow every day, we're driving great change here in Lancashire and are feeling more positive about the huge impact we're having! The demand spilt over the counties borders and neighbouring counties were soon demanding the same platform, and so, we bring you Mancheshare, a place where Manchester based businesses can equally collaborate, where they can communicate, share best practice, win business and promote their own. The joining fee is tiny (£199 a year) and the return is huge, we even measure it all for you and provide updates so you can see what your money is doing for your business.
