About Manchester Met Department Of Psychology

Welcome to the Department of Psychology at MMU. We are a large department of accredited, respected and practising Psychologists.

Manchester Met Department Of Psychology Description

Psychology is a fascinating, multi-faceted subject covering all aspects of human behaviour. Our degree programme covers all elements of psychological study from early childhood, through developmental and forensic to investigative, counselling, psychotherapy, social, and abnormal psychology.

As our courses cover a wide breadth of specialist areas from a base of qualitative and quantitative analysis, our graduates are highly employable and move into many areas, such as management, criminal justice, research and education. The skills developed in undertaking
statistical analysis, investigative projects and research ensure that the degree programme appeals to everyone.

We offer four Psychology Degrees (BScHons Psychology, BScHons Psychology with study abroad, BScHons Psychology with Counselling and Psychotherapy, and BScHons Forensic Psychology), as well as a range of psychology combined honours programmes. We also have a number of MSc and PhD routes (see our website for further info). Each of our BSc courses and our MSc in Forensic Psychology is accredited by The British Psychological Society.

Our tutors are experts in their fields, bringing a
wealth of practical experience of the areas that they teach, current active research and collaborative projects to their teaching. Undergraduate students work alongside postgraduate students, tutors and professors and are engaged and valued for their opinions.
