Another busy week at Manchester Taxi Tours, guiding visitors from all over The World around our fascinating City.

We had friends visiting us from Edinburgh and wanted to have a short tour to see the music of Manchester. We booked John as although we have visited Manchester many times we wanted a professional tour. John firstly is a lovely gentleman and nothing was too much even changing our pickup time 30 mins before. His knowledge is unbelievable and he explains it all in such a fun, Manchester way. We loved every second of it and left feeling we had made a new friend . Thanks john xx

We booked a tour for my dad's 80th birthday present. Although we all live in Manchester none of us really knew the history and what made it to be the great city it is today. This is our 2nd Tour with the amazing John Consterdine who is so knowledgable about everything in the wonderful city of Manchester. Our first Tour was the general history of Manchester when John showed us so many hidden gems, gave us information we never knew despite us all being born and bred in a City suburb. He can personally tailor your tour to anything you want, take you to see whatever is of specific interest to you, all this plus he is a lovely gentleman. This is a five star bespoke tour which is tailored to your needs . We ( myself , son aged 14, and daughter aged 11) took a 3 hour tour with John on Thursday 2nd Nov . He brought Roman , medieval and industrial Manchester to life , with a good dose of football and Manchester music history thrown in. (And the bonus look at student life will hopefully ‘motivate ‘ ! ) .

The best decision we made while in the UK. We signed on for a music tour, but got that and so much more. To say John is a wealth of knowledge is an understatement. He was an exceptional guide and historian. We learned so much about the unique past that shaped our beloved Manchester music through the years. I felt like a kid in a candy store. If you’re in town, don’t even hesitate to book one of John’s tours!

My mate’s fiancé booked this tour as a birthday surprise for him and invited me and my missus along. It’s not something I would have booked , myself, if I’m honest. I’ve lived round Manchester all my life and have visited the city centre more times than I can remember. For that reason I would have thought there’s not much more I could learn. How wrong was I ! John , our guide , was a font of knowledge for all things “Manchester “ and took us to places we’d never been or seen before . We never would have been able to find and see so many unique, interesting and important spots on our own. We had a wonderful time and truly got to know so much about Manchester. John gave us a tour on Saturday, we had been to Manchester a few times but never really knew so much about the ethos. I have to say it was a brilliant, informative tour that incorporated a lot of aspects on the city's history, culture and background. In particular it's connections with football and music the latter being something my partner and I both have a strong connection with, we got to see the former Hacienda and Salford lads club. We seen more of the city and its vibrant nightlife and on the recommendation of John we visited some of the great night spots that evening. A great addition to what was one of the most enjoyable weekends with my partner and our friends, ever!

I cannot recommend Manchester Taxi tours highly enough! John made our stay in Manchester a very memorable one with his wealth of knowledge about the music scene and history of the city. Nothing was too much trouble for him as he guided us round his beloved city. ��

John is a lovely person, he explain many things about the manchester music scene, he shows some hidden gems around Manchester, the history of the city, give us some tips of places to visit according to our interestings. Just loved the tour, definitely I recommend it.

Brilliant time yesterday celebrating our friends big birthday ... we were treated to a really interesting and fun tour of Manchester. We live locally but there were so many hidden gems of the city we didn’t know existed. John was a great guide, really accommodating and we all loved it!
