Absolutely beautiful place with very friendly staff. Food is amazing would definitely recommend the surf and turf as well as the lamb shank.
Lovely hotel and staff. Very comfortable beds and spacious room. Waitress at dinner was efficient and very friendly. Spa facilities were great and not crowded. Massage and facial we had were excellent. My beauty therapist Alexa was very empathetic and kind. We will certainly be back.
First the entrance is not clearly signed posted with hotel guests wandering into the restraunt entrance. Drinks order taken quickly and arrived promptly. Food order taken and arrived as we were about to leave due to hunger and healy 45 minutes later....stay away from the paninis the chicken one was a joke, my 6ft 3in son who was very hungry left most of his after a few bites it was bland and next to no filling, they can't blame customer numbers as the restraunt was quiet. On arival we were not asked if we would like to sit at a table but we're served on a coffee table. It was the first time and the last time we will visit, such a shame....nice village
Had a great day. The spa is lovely and had 2 wonderful treatments from very nice spa staff. Fabulous lunch and were able to sit outside in the sun with a coffee. I would certainly go back to the hotel and will recommend to friends.
Lovely spa break with my friend. Prosecco, food, hot tub, massage, what more could you ask for. Staff friendly and price was a bargain. Will be back
We went for a friend's wedding. The wedding itself was very nice, the staff were great throughout the day and into the evening. The food was ok and we even managed to get a second round of roast potatoes for our table. The room we stayed in was on the second floor, it was a twin room, but the beds could easily be pushed together for a double. We had major issues with the bathroom. Heated towel rail was held together by insulating tape and the switch was loose. There was no toilet brush (that we could find) or toilet roll holder. When I went for a shower in the morning, the hottest the water would go was "cold". I ended up coming home without showering and just having a body wash in the sink instead. I mentioned the shower to the member of staff who checked us out, and was told that she was "sorry to hear that". The breakfast was disappointing considering we ordered off the menu. The full English breakfast came without the black pudding listed on the menu and the poached eggs of the eggs Benedict were overcooked to the point where the yolk was completely solid. The location was lovely and a nice venue for a wedding. We didn't go in the spa.

Loved it so much I got married here ! Brilliant day staff did everything possible to make our day as special as it should be.
The manor house is easy to find o the A68. We had a fabulous time there ina superior room, which was comfortable and spacious. The staff were excellent they were attentive, friendly and very helpful at all times. Loved it
Good place for a couple of days break. Has a small spa attached which can get very busy on a weekend. Food is delicious and good range of prices. This is a Grade 1 listed building and dates back to the 12th century so don't expect luxury. It's a lovely place and is what you make it. We had a great time. Range of ages from young couples to older couples. This is not for trendies. I've only given 4 stars as it's a little bit tired.
