...another idea if you are planning an event is a hog roast - we recently had a wedding with hog-roast in the evening. The meat was of course beautiful and it was such a talking point during the evening. Thanks to Peter for cooking the roast and keeping us all entertained. http://www.juicyhogroast.co.uk/

April/May is always a busy time - last night was our first outdoor wedding of the year and today we have a 70th birthday party.
Last weekend we had 2 weddings which kept us partying all weekend.
Prior to those and in addition to the weekend weddings we had a charity night, raising funds for stoke and leukaemia charities and we had a corporate party event and a conference.
... Both the corporate party and the charity party arranged horse racing nights which we very well received.
Other entertainment we had were The Three Waiters, who were 3 tenors singing classical opera with a bit of humour thrown in. When they sang the whole room seemed to vibrate - and everyone loved them - http://www.thethreewaiters.co.uk/

We just had our first outdoor wedding of the year yesterday. The whole day went wonderfully well and the weather was warm, sunny and dry - perfect !
Congratulations to Elizabeth and James who all the staff at The Manor House Hotel wish a long and happy life together.

It is spring again and lovelorn Percy, our resident Peacock, seeks a mate. Pea-hens only may apply, gsoh, no fly-by-nights.

Today we welcome Probus (Dorking branch) to The Manor House Hotel. We hope they have an enjoyable lunch and talk which I believe is by Hilary Parker & Michael Slee : A View Inside Our Magistrates Courts. Next up in May is Colin Hennell : History Beneath Our Feet.

Today we welcomed Ben Proud, the Commonwealth double gold medalist to Aqua Roma.
