Funky blues rock band in Cumbria... putting their own spin on classic blues and rock, with a degree of reggae-fixation and a whole lot of jamming in the spur of the moment.

User

3 more new gins added to our collection... Little too early in the day for me to try? Errm 🤔 😉

Wow. What a brilliant pub. Lovely people. Amazing food. Attention to detail and a homely rustic feel. Was really thrilled to have found it. This is a treat of a pub in the Lakes :-)

User

We had a fantastic meal on Tuesday 5th June and couldn’t fault any of the staff or the service we received will definitely eat here again when we next return to the lakes for a holiday.

User

We came here while on holiday, made to feel very welcome, very dog friendly too. Highly recommend this pub/restaurant. Food and service were great. Hope this place really works out for you, when we visit the lakes again we will definitely pay you a visit.

User

Thought we’d bob in and check out the recently refurbished Manor House and certainly wasn’t disappointed, the place looked amazing. We was greeted by the lovely staff who were brilliant. The food was amazing and the puddings were to die for. We will definitely be back again soon

User

This was the closest pub to the cottage we stayed in this week. I’m glad we found it, we were made to feel very welcome and had great food & drinks during our stay. Highly recommended.

Only popped in for a drink last night, but from a locals perspective... you've done an amazing job so far. The atmosphere is great and I can't wait to come and have some food and see what the future brings for you. Goodluck with it all, we'll certainly be coming in to support you.

User

Late New Year’s Eve late lunch had a lovely Sunday roast menu with friends reasonably price and the food was good .

Totally surprised with the renovations a really chilled and welcoming pub

Will definitely return and eat again and would recommend to friends.

Love the decor think we may have found our new local

User

Just been for lunch! Can’t fault it. It’s a beautiful building. They had already prepared for my 6month old little girl (as we had booked). The owner saw I was feeding my baby as the dinner was being served and offered to take her and finish feeding her and cared for her the whole time we were sat down. It was a lovely feeling to not feel in the way with a little one or an inconvenience for having brought her. The staff were very accommodating too. The food was delicious and were very generous portions will definitely be back soon!

I can't praise this place enough! We had never heard of this little gem until we found a menu on our caravan site and I was amazed at the choice of vegetarian options, far better than ANYWHERE I have ever been! Vegetarians get really overlooked and are just given the same basic bog standard rubbish but here at Manor House the options were fabulous, I had beer battered halloumi with hand cut chips and REAL mushy peas and it was to die for. The best thing about this place is the staff, they can't do enough for you and are so friendly, lovely and genuine. When I contacted them on facebook they replied immediately which is a good start, I booked a table and explained that we were bringing my Mum who has dementia and doesn't like crowds of people and is very nervous and hasn't eaten out for over 12 months! They put us on a table that was out of the way of other diners. I changed the time of the booking once and it wasn't an issue, everything was dealt with in a ultra professional manner and they were very understanding and compassionate towards my Mum's needs. Every bit of food was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and Mum had a lovely evening. The pub itself is gorgeous and very tastefully decorated, the pub is family owned and run and you can tell, they are all very friendly and go the extra mile for you, nothing is too much trouble. The place is a little out of the way but well worth the effort, in my opinion it really is a hidden gem and we can't wait to return. Thank you all so much. xx

Called at The Manor with two friends on Sunday evening my 2nd visit in a few weeks. Excellent selection of meals & desserts. The Manor has been superbly refurbished with a quirky ladies room. We were all extremely pleased with our meals.

User

Been here for Sunday lunch today and it was lovely. Beautiful food, served with a smile and no pressure. Super!

Could just have done with a snowstorm to block us in, as we could happily have sat in front of the fire in peaceful surroundings for a good while. Thank you.
