Very central location. Reception staff were very pleasant both at check in and check out, also very efficient with quick service. All staff members were very pleasant. Loved the room, no problems with any noise and it was a very full bank holiday weekend. We had a deal the included evening meal and breakfast which were both lovely, although we did need lunch even after a full English which is unusual for us. Loved the stay and would definitely stay again.
Turned up today at 1.20 for Afternoon Tea which was booked for 1.30.
" Sorry Ladies we don't have a booking for you ". But we have a reservation confirmation email ...let me have at look at it please asked the Lady on the desk
Oh dear me your booking is for ***** **** ( another local establishment) said the Lady but don't worry
Without hesitation we were taken to a lovely booth seated and served our Afternoon Tea all by 1.25.
Amazing service, fabulous Staff and Afternoon Tea was lovely
Sorry didn't get the name of our Waiter but i think Lady on reception was called Trina. Thank you for a lovely afternoon ...The Kelso Ladies x x
This is our 4th time here and as usual everything was excellent. Scallops were cooked to perfection, burger, triple cooked chips, Onion rings and sourdough bread was delicious. My Chocolate mousse was to die for and partner's sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce was AMAZING! The Strawberry daquiri's (x3)! were lovely too. We always have brilliant sevice here and our waiter was Daniel who was a lovely, friendly, down to earth young man who was very attentive even though it was very busy. Cannot wait to come back! 10/10 x
My wife and I stayed at the Indigo and booked a table for the evening of our 30th anniversary. When the fabulous waitress asked us if there was any special occasion, we explained that it was to celebrate our anniversary. The staff presented us with a fabulously decorated plate wishing us a happy anniversary. Nice touch, fabulous staff and great food!
Thanks for making our night extra special.
Just spent a lovely evening with you. Our table was booked as a Motherās Day treat for my Mam and 2 of my aunties by their nephew /stepson. I decided to tag along instead of just dropping them off and Iām glad I did!
The food was fab. Iām a fussy eater but managed to find a main course and dessert that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Your staff are a credit to you. We were greeted by Bruno when we arrived and were served by Keith throughout the night. Nothing was too much trouble and as well as working very hard they both managed to chat to us, and others, and made use feel so welcome. All of the staff had a smile on their face throughout the night, even when we were the only ones left!
My aunties also got a lovely treat on a plate decorated wishing a happy mothers / aunties day. Such a lovely touch!
Sadly my Mam was unable to make it due to ill health but I know sheāll get to come as Iāll definitely be back!!
My only criticism was that Marco wasnāt there! ļæ½
Keep up the good work and weāll see you again soon
Just been in for afternoon tea as we had a voucher for Christmas. Hadn't planned on taking our two children but in the end had to. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming. With one of the bar staff making the effort to print off colouring pages in their favourite characters after engaging them on conversation. All the staff were attentive and great with the children making it a very relaxed experience. We really enjoyed the afternoon tea and the kids enjoyed their meals too, although as they had already helped themselves to part of ours too they didn't eat that much of theirs.
I would like to thank Bruno in particular for his help today. I had booked afternoon tea for myself and my daughter (who is 18 years old and autistic). When we arrived, the place was quite busy - always a good sign, but too busy for my daughter to cope. Bruno managed to find us a great spot, a little quieter and more calm than the first table and all went well after that ļæ½. Thank you. It made our afternoon so much more enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble to make sure we could enjoy our visit!
Food was brilliant and the staff were fab. Couldnāt have asked for better service, especially when we got the time of our booking wrong and they still managed to find us a table. And they put together a chocolate pudding for me even though it wasnāt in the menu.
Fantastic food and service, my daughter and I went for a 3 course lunch on a voucher and it was excellent value for money- we had a great time made even better by the prosecco for Ā£20 and the attentive staff. They went to great lengths to ensure my daughter had no nuts in her meal as she is allergic. I have been twice recently now and will definitely be back. Itās really lovely to have the extra touch the very enthusiastic staff deliver in service - the food, staff and experience far surpasses most other restaurants in the area not least the other one with a famous chefās name (next to Fenwicks - utterly dire experience) by far.
We had the burger and pommes frites deal 1 French and 1 English burger and I have to say the burgers were absolutely amazing as were the pommes frites even the little pot of Heinz ketchup was the perfect touch on the side ...service was quick and friendly, attentive as we were going to the arena straight after highly recommend to anyone.
Really friendly helpful staff.
Nice venue.
Nice sandwiches and scones.
All the cakes were the same colour, all brown, even the macaroons!
I Think it would have been nice if the cakes had been colourful. I think It just makes the presentation look better with more colour.
Lots of coffee
Tiny mock tail!
I had afternoon tea yesterday, staff were lovely. Food was lovely, apart from the sandwiches, the bread was a bit hard as though it had been made earlier and not covered up. A small thing that can be easily sorted out, wouldn't put me off going again.
Had afternoon tea yesterday and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The afternoon tea was excellent but i was a bit disappointed with the savoury side of the tea. Between us we only had 3 finger sandwiches each so it was not even a whole sandwich and my preference is definately savoury. Plenty of selection with the sweet so in my opinion that let it down. Overall good experience though.
Excellent service, friendly staff, afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco and as much tea and coffee was gorgeous. We stayed for a couple of hours longer with a bottle of excellent Chardonnay what more can a couple of girls ask for .
Wine is fantastic because they dont make itļæ½staff great as always!! Food donāt waste your time youād be better off at a weather spoons or a Mc Donaldās pork over cooked (like a brick) and served with frozen peas still frozen dam shame was a great place but like all chains itās all about the money and not the customer. Very sad
Disappointed with the seating, more like a plush cafe than a nice restaurant, we ordered from the a la carte menu however we waited longer than people arriving after us who ordered the lunchtime special. Scallops were delayed and the waiter later informed us that this starter takes 30 minutes? 3 scallops, 1 perfect with 2 slightly undercooked.main course was coq & shrimp curry, 3 prawns and a little chicken, tasty but sparse. Dessert was very nice. Ā£110 for two of us to dine? Donāt think this is value for money. Especially disappointed as this was a Christmas gift fro my children who are both students and so saved up Long and hard.
Always have a good meal here and the service is also very good. Our waitress whom I think was called Alexandra was superb. We dined this time with our half price gift vouchers, we had 2 Ā£100 GVās between the four of us. I had the calamari & prawn starter, it was ok but wasnāt worth the Ā£9.50, 4 rings of calamari & 3 prawns. My husband had the English Charcouterie, again not worth Ā£8.95 and couldnāt work out what was English about it. One friend had Camembert and the other the dressed crab. In summary on the starters they were all very nice, just not worth the price charged! We all settled for Rib eye steaks which came with chunky chips! We asked what came with them to be told possibly tomatoes if the kitchen had plenty but otherwise any other additions were extras. At Ā£27.95 they should at least come with a couple of mushrooms & onion rings!! So we ordered a portion of green beans, onion rings & creamed spinach! Each if I remember correctly were Ā£3.95 each - extortionate! We had 4 bottles of wine. None of us wanted desert or coffees. Overall the meal was very nice, however everything overpriced. The total bill was just under Ā£294 including service charge. The only saving grace was we actually only paid in real terms Ā£194 which was probably at best all it was worth. We frequent MPWās on a regular basis however usually with a voucher of some kind. The voucher deals are very good value but Iām afraid MPW we wonāt be visiting too regularly to eat off your full price A La Carte menu as itās by far overpriced!
Went for lunch yesterday afternoon. The staff were great, very polite & helpful, the girl on reception was especially welcoming and friendly. The food was good quality & tasty but donāt go if you have a big appetite as the portions are very small. What spoilt the whole experience was a group of diners/chavs making a lot of noise chanting and encouraging each other to down glasses of wine in one. Really let the restaurant down.
Quite friendly staff and the food what we managed to order was half decent, none of the starters we wanted were available and a few of the mains had sold out. Not what I expected, wonāt be going back. You would think when you spend Ā£100 on a meal for two youād be satisfied but I was far from it.
