Sara Trickey - violin, with Daniel Tong - piano
... Sara enjoys an exciting and diverse career as a solo artist and chamber musician. Noted for her fiery and passionate performances, she performs at major UK festivals and venues.
For six years she led the Bronte String Quartet winning the Royal Overseas League competition. Sara is a founder member of the Odysseus Piano Trio and the Joachim String Trio and is currently a member of the mixed ensemble Sound Collective.
Sara plays regularly with Daniel with whom she has recorded works by Schubert and Fauré amongst others. She has also made a world premiere recording of Mathias’ Violin Sonatas with Iwan Llewelyn Jones.

Tomorrow, December 3rd at 3pm, we welcome Tim Crawford (Violin), Benjamin Tarlton (Cello) and Dinis Sousa ( Piano).
This gifted trio of musicians are all at the Guildhall School of Music where they have been awarded the Chamber Music Prize and are described as "Superb"

The first of our series of Recitals for Winter 2017 - 2018 begins as we welcome Robin Ireland on Viola and Daniel Tong on Piano.
Robin is a superb violist and chamber musician having spent many years as the viola player in the Lindsay Quartet. Robin is Head of Chamber Music at and senior Viola tutor at the Birmingham Conservatoire. In this concert he is joined by Daniel, to perform works by Schumann, Britten, Bach and Schubert.

On Sunday 1st November at 3.00pm our new season of concerts starts with a visit from Arcus Piano Trio. The programme includes Beethoven, Mozart and Shostakovich. Admission is £12 ( Students £1.00) at the door, or in advance from Calne Information Centre. We look forward to seeing you!

On 26th April we are delighted to welcome back The London Bridge Ensemble with Daniel Tong - Piano, and their new violinist Tamsin Waley Cohen. Their most recent projects have included a performance of the Dvořák piano quartets at Champs Hill as part of a live broadcast for BBC Radio 3, and they look forward to recording these works for the Champs Hill label later this year.
Tamsin, Daniel and Kate Gould on cello will play piano trios by Schubert (B Flat major, D. 898), Brah...ms (C minor op. 101) and Haydn (no. 24 in D major).

Tickets are now available for the Wells Cathedral School piano recital on Sunday 29th March at 3.00pm.
Wells Cathedral School is an internationally renowned specialist music school, providing world-class music training from the elite of the profession. The gifted musicians are trained and educated within the structure of a conventional, co-educational day and boarding school.
In 2013 Wells sent Daniel Evans, a very talented young pianist who gave us a wonderful concert inclu...ding some of his own compositions. In 2015 they plan to send three pianists. We never know until they get here just what the programme will include, but it is always of the highest quality and a great treat.
