There are many barriers that stop people coming for acupuncture, even when they are desperate.
1. A fear of needles and a belief they will cause a lot of pain. - Acupuncture needles are thinner than a human hair. Any discomfort very quickly disappears, and is well tolerated by the vast majority of people.
... 2. Not wanting to spend money on their health. - unfortunately, free healthcare is often not enough to help get you out of pain or recover fully from illness. If life is to be enjoyed to the fullest, people need to allow for some of their income to pay for extra treatment that allows that.
3. Most people just don’t believe it will help them. -Acupuncture’s efficacy has been proven in countless studies and is recommended by NHS, NICE and WHO for many conditions. Acupuncture when done properly has an 85% success rate. Far higher than placebo.

Just finished 2 days of training in Japanese moxa. Moxa is a very powerful tool in Chinese medicine and can help many conditions.
