Little flash back to when it was still summer......
We collaborated with a fabulous group of talented people for a styled shoot with The Artful Event Co and Bethany & James Fine Art Photography at the stunning Unique Home Stays Scarlet Hall
The inspiration was a relaxed, Tuscan summer feel and I can't wait to see the rest of the images because everything about this shoot was heavenly!
... For now, here are a couple of taster images of the cake I designed, aged stone in neutral chalky tones, with a statement cluster of handmade sugar flowers and foliage, as well as some of our deliciously moreish Italian Chocolate & Hazelnut Biscotti.

So.......apologies for the long post but, this happened....
I only went and bloody well won the North West Wedding Cake Designer in The Wedding Industry Awards earlier this week!
It was a great night amongst friends and a huge surprise in a tough category with some very talented cake designers.
... I have to say a huge thank you too all of our couples who voted, none of this would've been possible without them, I really do have the best clients!
One of the biggest and nicest surprises has been the huge amount of people who have contacted me in the run up to the awards and after the result announcement to wish me good luck and to say congratulations - a big reminder of how many truly genuine and lovely people are in this industry. I'm ever thankful for all the support encouragement I receive.
Huge congrats to all the other winners, and everyone who put themselves out there and took part, it can be a scary prospect so huge respect to anyone who bites the bullet!!!
Special thanks to my girls who kept me sane throughout the process (you know who you are) and of course my husband who is just generally awesome for being completely absorbed into my crazy cake/wedding world whenever I need him!!!
Now on to the National Finals in January, until then, good luck to all of our industry friends who are still waiting for their regional finals result! xxx

CREATIVE SPACES | I’m quite messy when I work at times but I also love everything being organised, it’s when I’m most calm and my mind then has space and freedom to think so itms a constant battle between cake orders to return things to order from chaos!

This week's wedding cake was for Helen & Rob who celebrated with their friends and family (including their gorgeous baby girl Olivia) at The West Mill Exclusive Use Wedding Venue
It was our first visit to this beautiful venue and it was easy to see why they fell in love with it.
They chose a three tier semi-naked cake complete with fresh flowers, herbs & greenery supplied by the lovely Nadia Di Tullio Flowers, arranged in a simple statement cluster along with some subtle flec...ks of edible gold leaf.
Flavour choices were Chocolate Truffle Cake, Carrot Cake & gold old Victoria Sponge cake.
We can't wait to see some professional shots from S6 Photography but for now here a re a few we took on the day!

SEASONS | Say what you will about British weather but I wouldn’t be without the seasons.
With the changing weather comes a change in colours, flavours, flowers, foliage, clothing, textures, smells, even the tv shows on our screens!
Autumn is possibly my favourite season, I love everything about so it’s great to be able to indulge in a beautiful Autumnal cake design, particularly with the deep rich colours of these sugar flowers!

Now and again we have a load of left over sugar flowers from spares I've made for wedding cakes and they're just crying out to be arranged on a cake!

We were looking for a wedding cake which tasted as good as it looked, and when we met Rachel and tried her samples, we knew we had found the perfect person to make our perfect cake. We were so impressed by how organised and professional she was (literally thinking of every detail, and making us aware of everything to expect), and my god, her cakes are utterly delicious!

We asked for a semi-naked cake which she decorated perfectly with flowers from our florist. It looked amazing and tasted incredible. We got a lot of delighted comments from guests who were expecting the usual over-sweet and stale sponge. I would recommend Rachel to anyone - her cakes are astounding.

We were absolutely delighted with the wedding cake that Rachel created for us...not only was it absolutely stunning but it was also delicious! We also hired some wonderful accessories from her, that just made the entire look perfect. Thank you so much Rachel!xxx

This lady is a cake design superstar! Rachel made our stunning wedding cake and we were blown away when we first saw it. The outside was elegantly decorated with perfect gold calligraphy and gorgeous sugar flowers. It looked so beautiful! She has an outstanding eye for detail and meticulously created exact replicas of the fresh flowers our florist was using. Then the inside was just as amazing! It's truly the best cake we've ever tasted. So many guests have told us how much they loved it.



Rachel also made us three flavours of macarons and brownie bites, which were all incredibly delicious. She matched the colours to our theme and did an awesome job laying them out around our cake to create an unmissable display.



As well as designing gorgeous cakes, Rachel is such a sweet and lovely person and a pleasure to deal with. She listened to exactly what we wanted and was open to change along the way. We are so thankful to Rachel and absolutely recommend her!

The moment we met Rachel we felt so at easy, she is a true professional, very passionate about cakes and on top of that a genuinely lovely person. We were so pleased with our wedding cake, it fit the brief perfectly and Rachel really listened to us. She went above and beyond and even created a bespoke matcha and white chocolate sponge for one of the tiers. Not to mention the cake held perfectly the whole day in a 30 degree heatwave, true craftsmanship!

I've seen first hand the effort and time she invests in each cake and it's beautiful !

Rachel is out of this world when it comes to cakes. She's not afraid of a challenge and her cakes are absolutely amazing and taste great too! We have seen several of Rachel's cakes and they are always fabulous. You really can't go wrong. 100% reliable.

Oh wow! We knew straight away that this lady would be making our cake but we couldn't have known how amazing it would be. Rachel came to our home to try the different flavours and if we could have 8 tiers with 8 different flavours we would! They were all immense. We opted for lemon, chocolate and carrot and everyone commented on how moist and tasty and amazing it was. When we first saw the cake in the room we were both amazed. It was perfect. Rachel delivered the cake, set it up and left our marshmallows and macarons all set up looking beautiful. Couldn't recommend Marie A toilette Cakes any more, 110% satisfied. We are trying to think of the next event we can have another cake for!! I'm sure we could make something up!! Thank you for everything. X

Just the most stunning and delicious cakes and sweet treats. A must for any discerning couple planning their big day ❤️I have not only worked with Marie Antoinette Cakes as a wedding photographer but as fan of her work we decided we needed an original MAC design for our own wedding party back in November. Rachel took on board we got married in New York and our love of that city and Manchester and created her magic in a beautiful navy, gold, honeycomb, bee creation. It was incredible! It's almost two years since our wedding day and I STILL wish I could have some more of that bloody marvellous cake. Lemon, Carrot and Red Velvet layers with chocolate ganache icing. We never once worried about the cake, its transportation, decoration (which was done in conjunction with the florist) or its presentation. If you're having a Marie Antoinette cake for your wedding, please invite me so I can have some!!

I met Rachel about 18 months ago at a wedding fayre and was instantly won over by how lovely she was - then I sampled her cakes and I was in heaven! She had been an utter pleasure to work with, so professional from day one, but warm and friendly too! Nothing was too much trouble, from coming out to see us at our consultation in the evening after work, to her speedy replies to any queries we had. Our wedding was on Saturday, and ALL of our guests loved our cake - not only was it delicious but it was beautiful too. I don't even really know where to begin......

From the first moment we contacted Rachel she was a dream. So helpful and friendly, we knew from the moment we met her that she was going to be making our wedding cake.

We chose the Simply Sparkles cake and decided to make it a 5 tier.

I'm so glad we chose Rachel and this particular cake because it really was amazing. So so pretty and tasted bloomin good! I'm not a huge cake eater but have eaten loads of pieces of our cake.
