And child homelessness has risen by 73% since the Tories took office.
A Labour government would end rough sleeping within a Parliament and tackle homelessness at its root - we need more affordable homes. and stronger rights for renters.
It is now winter, and thousands will be freezing up and down the country in what is a national disgrace.

Brexit chaos reigns in Westminster today, with the government delaying its own vote on Theresa May's disastrous Brexit deal at the eleventh hour. She has known for weeks that she could not pass it through the House of Commons, but has instead now made a bungled manoeuvre that has caused a total shambles, with votes changing and wasted time in Parliament.
I told the Prime Minister that both her deal and no deal outcomes would be hugely detrimental to our country - and that she owes it to the British people to ensure that we do not fall off a cliff edge through leaving the EU.

My colleague and @UKLabour MP @lloyd_rm stood up in Parliament and told the world he’s HIV+. It is incredibly very difficult for people to be open and honest about issue such as this, and Lloyd's willingness to do so in order to raise awareness and remove the stigma associated with HIV is an example of leadership and courage. My constituents whose lives are affected by cystic fibrosis – and others across the UK require immediate access to the most advanced medicines to manage this extremely serious condition. People with cystic fibrosis should be able to live full, healthy lives for as long as possible. There are drugs available today can help them achieve that and they are being denied access. We are failing in our duty of care to the most vulnerable
