About Mark Evison Foundation

The underlying inspiration for our values is the life and work of Lieutenant Mark Evison, a British soldier who died in 2009 from a gunshot wound whilst serving in Afghanistan.

Mark Evison Foundation Description

During his life, Mark chose to set himself many challenges he always showed grit, resilience, kindness, innovation and team support. We hope to keep Mark's values alive by encouraging young people to aspire to the same.

The Mark Evison Foundation was set up in 2009 to promote the personal, mental and physical development of young people.

It provides mentoring and funds to enable young people to stretch themselves constructively and so gain more confidence, courage and self-reliance, as well as new skills.

We offer School Awards in London maintained schools and Memorial Awards in the two schools that Mark attended: Dulwich College and Charterhouse School.

We also offer Major Awards for 19-25 year olds for larger projects or expeditions, as well as the Australian Outback Award.
