Excellent rooms and great service.. very quiet too!

Great welcome, accomodation and breakfasts.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was a good base from which to visit the area's attractions. Although the four guest rooms are not particularly big, our twin en suite room was clean and comfortable and tea/coffee making facilities were available. We also enjoyed the homemade cake on arrival and the flapjacks in the room. Breakfast, which had to be ordered the evening before, was served in the cosy dining room and there was a good variety of food on offer. The husband and wife team were friendly and helpful with suggestions for sightseeing. There was a garden at the back of the house which guests could use. There was limited parking at the front of the house but other parking was available nearby.

Spotlessly clean. Loads of those little touches that make your stay comfortable and set this guest house apart from so many others. A wonderful garden to relax in and the friendliest of hosts. Oh and the breakfast was fabulous. Home made bread a locally sourced meats for the fry up. All that and a 10 per cent discount on your next stay.

Wonderful warm welcome from the owners. Spacious, comfortable rooms with great en suite bathroom. Lovely home cooked breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

really friendly guest house, lovely couple running it, lovely food, extra touches like fresh milk chilled ready for early morning tea, homemade traybake, very relaxing, comfortable room, quiet. Lovely dinner too!

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights over the bank holiday. Amanda and Steve are the perfect hosts. The welcome is top notch. The accommodation is a very high standard tasteful and extremely comfortable. They have left nothing to chance, home made flap jack in your room, complimentary Lindisfarne mead to name just a few. The breakfast was excellent with Amanda's home made jams and fresh hot fruit every morning. Choices include full Northumbrian cooked or smoked salmon with scrambled egg and kippers.
This is a great base for exploring the area with Bamburgh Sea houses and Holy Island on the doorstep. Some excellent places to eat which Amanda & Steve have a great run down on. Don't stay anywhere else you must experience the Market Cross to believe! We will be back.

A friend and I stayed 2 nights. It was wonderful, they had thought of everything, I could not fault a thing and can't wait to return. Everywhere was so tastefully decorated and I felt really cared for. Go and stay there as soon as you can, you'll love it. Oh and Northumberland is pretty special too!
