We have taken part in the "50 Fantastic Female" exhibition for Coalville. For our inspirational woman we chose "Julia Donaldson" taking some of her most famous books and some of the favourite books from the children to display on her
We've just delivered Julia to the Co-op in Coalville and along with the other 49 women she will be on exhibition until December

The staff in Foundation and Pre-School 2 have had some new tops printed for their P.E. sessions. Thank you to Aisha Summers at Kelham Creations for doing these for us! We can't wait to wear them.

Some of our staff have spent the day refreshing their first aid certificates. They will be there again tomorrow to finish off the qualification for another 3 years!

Marlborough Day Nursery is a well established private day nursery offering quality care and education to children aged 6 weeks to 4 years. We operate for 50 weeks of the year with the option of term time only places. We are looking to appoint a full time experienced SENCo to join our team.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant level 3 early years qualification and previous experience of undertaking the SENCo role within an early years settin...g.
All successful candidates will be required to provide two references and copies of training certificates. They must also undertake an enhanced DBS check. Marlborough Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
Responsibilities of the SENCo
ŌĆó To be familiar with the SEND Code of Practice and to keep up to date with legislation and guidance. ŌĆó To have day-to-day responsibility for the operation of SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision made to support individual children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disability, including those who have EHC plans. ŌĆó Ensure that relevant background information about individual children is collected, recorded and up-dated. ŌĆó Support staff to do additional observation and assessment of childrenŌĆÖs learning and development and ensure differentiated planning to meet that childŌĆÖs needs. Support key person to identify smart targets and implement interventions. ŌĆó To gather evidence, complete additional paperwork and work with the key person in completing referrals and/or applying for inclusion funding (previously ŌĆśtop upŌĆÖ funding). ŌĆó Liaise with other professionals, including those from outside agencies and arrange review meetings which include professionals, staff and parents. ŌĆó Talk to, offer advice and support to practitioners who raise a concern about a child. ŌĆó Ensure that appropriate Targeted Plans and Behaviour Plans are prepared, implemented and reviewed regularly. ŌĆó Complete direct one to one work with individuals and demonstrate effective strategies to staff team members. ŌĆó Work closely with manager to ensure environment is tailored to the childrenŌĆÖs individual needs

A huge congratulations to two of our wonderful staff members who have completed their early years qualifications this month ­¤ī¤­¤ī¤ Brittany is now Level 3 qualified and Kaitlan Level 2. Well done both of you, the many months of hard work and dedication has now paid off ­¤żŚ­¤żŚ

Foundation children are now back in their own room after a redecoration and freshen up. Look out for exciting new changes too ­¤żŚ­¤żŚ

Last call for new parents to register for 30 hours
Just a reminder to new parents that they must apply with the HMRC by the 31st August to be eligible for 30 hours in the autumn period.
... HMRC sometimes needs more information from the parent to check whether they're eligible, so parents should allow time for this. If there is a delay and they are not approved by the 31st August parents may not receive funding until January 2019.

He has changed so much since starting here. Thank you to all the Baby room staff. My grandaughter has been at Marlborough day nursery since last October (2013)&she absolutely loves it.the staff are all so professional skilled friendly and approachable.they are always really helpful and the atmosphere is so relaxed and fun!from the outside you don't realise just how big the actual building is as the facilities are brilliant. It has taught my grandaughter so much by going just one morning per week.the staff promote really good values and set really good examples.

I would highly recommend this nursery . definitely give them a call or drop in and have a look around I bet you will form the same opinion as I have spoken about.

My child love It here, the way they help them grow is outstanding, you shouldn't hesitate to send your child here, we recommend to all our family and friends.

My Niece goes here and its settled down her hyperactivity down loads :) I love hearing what she's been up to she tells me everything. She is an advanced child and she never gets board x

Just picked my son up for the last time, and I'm truly sad to say goodbye! What a wonderful nursery, the staff are attentive and enthusiastic, and Isaac loved going there! Couldn't recommend them enough, he has come on in leaps and bounds since starting!

Having worked in 2 different nurseries, I can safely say that Marlborough Day Nursery is the most child and family friendly. At our nursery every child comes first. No wonder we are recognised as outstanding in all areas!

Great friendly nursery, the staff are all lovely and I know my baby boy is in safe hands whilst I go to work. The fact that he has a great time and had green feet today (paint) is just a bonus.

Fehn loves it here. Excellent friendly staff who always welcome Fehn and cater to his every need.

There is always something fun happening and exciting activities, which involves all children.

Wonderful menu which Fehn thoroughly enjoys.

My son, Jack aged 3, has just started there and had a really hard time adjusting to being left there by mummy (me!!) but the staff (especially Becca, Cheryl and Amy) and parents have been super supportive and he's now loving it!! Absolutely love this place, our son Isaac (now nearly 14 months old) started in late November last year and although it probably took till after the Christmas break for him to settle in properly he is now loving it, and the girls in the baby room (Beth and Becca especially) have really helped him to come out of his shell, so thank you so much ’┐Į’┐Į
