This Monday #MarlinMakes a delicious 10 minute Prawn Curry - this quick & easy to make meal is bursting with flavour and perfect for a speedy midweek meal!
Ingredients: Oil, 1 Garlic clove crushed, small chunk of grated garlic, 2 tbsp curry paste, 400g of half fat coconut milk, 200g large raw prawns, handful of coriander, Naan bread.
Method: Heat a little oil in a pan. Cook the garlic and ginger for a couple of minutes then stir in the curry paste and cook for 1 min. Add the ...coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Add the prawns and cook until pink and cooked through. Garnish with coriander and serve grilled Naan bread.

It's getting hot in here! 🔥 As you are probably aware by now, London is experiencing a heatwave at the moment. We here at Marlin have collected a few tips and tricks to make sure you keep cool in this hot weather! 🌬️
• Keep curtains/blinds closed to keep out heat during the day, when it is cooler outside later in the day open the window to let cooler air in.
• Fill mixing bowl full of ice or chilled water, place infront of fan. Breeze from the fan will pick up cool air co...ming from ice surface to create cool breeze.
• Wear loose fitting clothing, cotton if possible to bed at night to keep cool 👕
• Avoid hot meals if possible – hot food increases body temperature, as well as the extra heat generated from oven/hob will make room hotter 🌯
• Take ”Luke Warm” showers.
• Keep Hydrated – This keeps body cool. Keep a glass of ice water by bedside at night 🥛
• Turn off lights and unplug electrical devices – keeping these on generates excess heat in the apartment 🔌
• Fill water bottle and place in freezer before placing at end of bed to act as cooler.
• Dampen cloth/tea towel & place on forehead or nape of neck to cool down

BBC Proms is here and we can barely contain our excitement! 😍 Spread over 8 weeks in the Royal Albert Hall and culminating in a major event in Hyde Park on the last night, the BBC Proms is regarded as the greatest classical music festival in the world! 🎶
Featuring classical performances from the traditional to the contemporary there is something for every classical music lover! Marlin recommends West Side Story which is taking place on the 11th of August and Verdi Requiem on ...the 30th of August. 🎻🎺🎙️

We stayed over weekend and we loved it. The staff was really helpful and nice. The room was good and clean except the aircondition. It was really dusty and needed cleaning. The location is perfect and the grocery stores next door are cheap and we saved a lot of money by buying grocerys there and keep in the fridge in our room. I will defenetly stay there again and I recommend this hotel. Thanks for everything!

Very clean, very helpful, amazing view of the city on the 8th floor, very central easy access to local amenities however avoid the horse and stables pub its awful. Would defo recommend this hotel and will certainly use it again, Thank you.

The staff and service was excellent. The room was great. The bathroom was huge. There is a kitchen and fridge. The only minor complaints: The bed itself wasn't the most comfortable and there was no view. But for the price I paid I got much more than I deserved.

The rooms are very clean and ideal for any occasion visiting the area. Ideal and easy location. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We didn’t use the facilities but there is everything from glasses, kettle, toaster, dishwasher etc.

Will definitely re book for my next london visit

Marlin Waterloo was a delightful stay. Room was spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette. The guest laundry is a wonderful addition. Free to use. Only need to pay for washing powder and softener. Reception staff was somewhat serious and stern but check-in and checkout were breezy and quick. Housekeeping staff were friendly though. Will definitely be back when I visit London again.

Just in the train coming back from an amazing weekend in London with my husband and two children aged 10 & 5. I have to say this hotel was fab and definitely added to the pleasure of our trip. Staff were lovely, room fab and love the small, but compact all u need little kitchen area would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again thank you!

Good location, easy access to sites in central London, quiet despite city location. Good sized rooms, comfortable bed, plus everything required such as hairdryer, ironing facilities and of course well equipped kitchenette.

Fantastic location was absolutely perfect. Clean and spacious. Staff very helpful. Will be back with our children. Highly recommended

Centrally located with great transport links to all attractions. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to London.

Amazing rooms, but the bed was hard and has two mattresses pushed together to make a double, so had a seam down the middle you could feel.

Also I understand the need to see ID, but there is no business need to copy and keep. So asked for it back on check out, Glad I bid it was in an envelope sat on top the desk for anyone to pick up!

You are not follow DPA if it’s not secure!

WARNING!! You will have to pay for the room again on arrival if you do not bring the card with you that you used for booking. Even if you have the email confirmation, photo ID, and other credit/debit cards. Plus you will be charged a £50 deposit too. I gave the chain a chance to reimburse me for the loss I suffered by them cancelling my booking made via a cashback website which has left me £15 out of pocket but they have not done so. If your card expires between booking and staying or gets stolen or lost you will also have to pay again. I was told it was to prevent fraud and the example given was it's the same when you pick tickets up from a machine- the difference being that to me this is obvious as there is no human interaction! Staff at the hotel made us feel like criminals checking in and it soured our stay. If you are a business traveller with a company card used for a booking you will no doubt also have to pay on arrival again too.

Warning! They offer you a "King Room" and not a King bed - How does this work? It's called pushing to twin beds together to create what they call a king bed. Despite complaints with staff every bed in the hotel is apparently Hollywood twins. Deceptive and misleading!

Man, I hardly ever give hotels a 1 star rating but this is heavily deserved. First of all, it took us 30 minutes to be seen to check in to the hotel. Then the hotel tried to charge us £40 more than what we booked the hotel for that took another 30 minutes. When we finally get the hotel key, housekeeping was still cleaning at 4:40pm!!! I am not happy with the service. Very poor and didn't even receive a proper apology. If you like overpriced hotels that take forever to check you in and your room not ready by time it takes for the staff to check you in, this is the place for you. If you don't, I highly recommend stay ANYWHERE ELSE.
