Right in the heart of Hessle this pub hasn't changed much over many years and that's one of the problems. Yes eating was introduced a few years ago but I cannot remember the decor having a refurbishment. But maybe they don't need to as the clientele like the way it is. Overall it caters for the middle aged and above with a large lounge, a separate bar and separate dining area, has a wide choice of drinks including tea/coffee, and a food menu familiar to most pubs. As for the food we have had some lovely meals but on the odd occasion I think they must have been having an off day.

Prices are reasonable for the food and drink but it's an odd situation in Hessle as establishments seem to be popular then fall out of fashion and people go elsewhere. But then after a while many return and Granby has had a few of these moments over the years. From the outside it's a quaint looking building, round the back is the parking area and a place to have a drink and smoke, an outside drinking area, in the nice weather, has been available, basically in the car park. Worth a visit, if not to your taste then other establishments are not far away.

Only decent staff is Jackie. She is the life and soul of that pub, always makes us feel welcome and comfortable! Lovely lady.

Not a bad place to go for a meal or a drink. Misses out on the fifth star due to the pool table being £1 a game.
It has a jukebox too, so can make it a fun place for a few drinks with friends.

Absolutely amazing pub, friendly and welcoming. The staff always make me and the kids feel very welcome even bringing them toys to play with. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I love it here! Definitely the best pub in Hessle x

Food is great sometimes and poor others most of the bar staff are really nice a shame the music is so bad no wonder they don't get alot of the young crowd in .
