About us
Marsden Tennis Club is to be found at the Hemplow private sporting complex off Mount Road in Marsden.
Our three courts are set in dramatic Yorkshire countryside, adjoining the cricket club,
crown green bowling and golf course.
We have just finished building the fantastic new club-house, which offers kitchen and storage facilities, with a fantastic viewing of the three courts.
Our club has always had a reputation for being friendly, whilst offering the opportunity to play tennis at both social or competitive league standard. There are regular tournaments and social events throughout the year.
We enter into Mens, ladies and junior team tennis in both Huddersfield and Calderdale District leagues.
Coaching
We have coaching available with Sean Stafford and Dave Sykes.
Sean is Marsden’s full time Tennis coach and offers coaching for all ages and abilities. Sean started at Marsden two years ago and has built the programme sufficiently enough to now work there full time. He has gained experience and worked with some of the top coaches in the Country at various centres, most notably Bolton Arena High Performance Centre and Lancashire Health and Racquets. Sean is currently a Level 3 Coach.
Sean himself still plays to a high standard, holding a national rating of 3. 2. He has county titles to his name and has represented Lancashire in the last four county cup competitions.

Another great Sunday afternoon social laid on by the Men’s B team. Fantastic turn out and congratulations to Rosie and John, worthy winners. Lovely afternoon tea to follow, the bar has been set high!
Evening folks Men’s pre season tennis practices starting next Tuesday 2nd April 6pm onwards Also Tuesday 9th, 16th and 23rd(subject to potential Calderdale fixture) Old and new players welcome, please spread the word.
... The AGM will take place at 8pm on Tuesday 9th April in the clubhouse.
The wind breaks have all now been tied back up, but lots of other jobs need doing, courts clearing of leaves etc, I can maybe go up Friday (subject to change) if anyone can help or suggest another time when we can get a few together ( many hands make light work n all)

Hopefully you have seen the change in payment term for tge new coaching sessions and that this Saturday is a FREE meet the coach session to get to know Shaun and hopefully put everyone's mind at ease.
Please confirm if you are able to attend to meet Shaun on Saturday at 9am.... If you can help us spread the word that would be really helpful. This is our first introduction to Marsden and we are hoping to develop alot of initiatives at the club when we get started - Tennis for Kids Quorn Cup Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekend Team Challenge Junior Club championships

So folks after 10 years at the club Staffy is moving on to pastures new. I personally and I’m sure everyone at the club would join me in saying what a fantastic job Sean has done for us at Marsden tennis club and wish all the very best in his new life over the pond, Thank you Sean. Now then folks, it’s the men’s Calderdale last fixture of the season on Tuesday 14th August, there will be one spare court for social tennis. After the match we will be going down to the Taaj in milnsbridge for anyone who wants to join us for a curry. Thanks

Hi All. The draw for Wimbledon tickets was adjudicated by Ev,Lynn,Ryan and Richard.
