Today, with Wolverhampton Council's WorkBox team, we've been filming with some of our inspiring apprentices­¤ī¤
We've been at Head Office, Banks's Brewery and The Claregate Pub speaking to individuals from three different business areas,finding out all about them, their apprenticeships & the advice they'd give to others.

We have another fantastic opportunity to join MarstonŌĆÖs at our BanksŌĆÖs Brewery operations in Wolverhampton as a Multi-skilled Engineering Technician Apprentice. We are looking for an outstanding Engineering Apprentice to join our team in September.
The apprenticeship will last four years and will involve both practical onŌĆōsite training and formal further education apprenticeship qualifications.

Are you a chef who leads a team or supports the Head Chef, in job roles such as Second Chef? If so, then our newly launched Level 3 Senior Chef Academy could be the next step for you.
This 15 month apprenticeship programme will help you to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a competent Senior Chef. You will develop your expertise to produce customersŌĆÖ meals consistently to perfection, have the ability to work independently and lead a team and also... work quickly and efficiently, producing food, often in high volumes.
The programme includes interactive webinars, workshops and distance learning. You will be supported along with way through regular feedback and reviews. Alongside the workshops/webinars you will also be able to connect with others on your Academy programme through the online community.

As part of our brand New Marston's Apprenticeship Academy we are offering 2 exciting new programmes, the Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Academy and the Level 3 Senior Chef Academy.
Our programmes will help you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be a competent Hospitality Supervisor or Senior Chef. Academy programmes are taught through a variety of delivery methods, including; Know it webinars, Show it Skill days and Live it behaviours. Meet Chris Harvey, Skills Training Manager, who is currently completing a Level 5 Operations Management apprenticeship.
When asked about his experience so far, Chris said "I have been a Line Manager for 8 years and all my skills have come from internal sources, so undertaking an apprenticeship was a great opportunity to see what good looks like in other industries and build on the theories that are taught within the apprenticeship modules".
Summing up his apprenticeship in one word, Chris said "intense". He went on to say,"My advice to anyone considering taking on an apprenticeship would be to understand the level of commitment that is needed to achieve the targets set out.You have to be open to different styles of learning and be self-motivated to go away and find knowledge yourself".
