Happy #friyay lovely people! Here’s to a fabulous sunny bank holiday weekend 🥂💃🏾🕺
We used the upstairs bar for a private work function for 60+ people and had a great night. Staff couldn't have been more helpful & food (especially pizza & doughnuts) was amazing. Not been out in London Fields before but if you're visiting Time Run (the escape the room activity) I'd thoroughly recommend Martello Hall for your after party.
Very nice people ....to be honest is the Best.
Very good pub....Beautiful girls. Cool music...We had fun! - from Hungary -
Very friendly and food was delicious and the decoration is great I would really recommend it
-Anabelle
The wonderful staff who, having seen the state my friend and I were in and despite not
Being paying customers, brought us water and allowed me to use their toilet no questions while waited to get our long overdue cab home. Thank you so much and I
Hope we can repay you in manifold ways when ever we are back in the area!
Lawrence and Ella.
Place is absolutely incredible. £10 unlimited coffee all day, great nighttime atmosphere, dim lighting, good drinks— the list is massive. Check it out. You won't be upset.
Only visiting for a few hours, so pleased to find this place, great food, great people, loved the jazz 4 piece. Pity we had to leave ( 4 hours drive home) could have stayed all night. Great place to chill & have fun . Thank you guys and gals, thank you
One of the nicest pizza's I've had. Great selection of wines and brilliant gin offering. Could do with a few other IPA beers but otherwise a decent place to visit. Particularly like that they give you a bottle of water with your food as soon as you sit down. Pretty simple but everywhere should try that!
Oh my, the pizza here is phenomenal. Way recommended. And I can't wait to try some of their gin drinks (the gin produced on site). Very cool interior, too. Well done. Oh, and there's a space upstairs for startup folks to jam out email and "work" as well. This part of town is truly transforming; WeWork opening across the road soon, Second Home's next space will be right next door and much more happening here that's completely changing the face of this part of east London. Love it.
Just had the most amazing fresh big bacon sandwich with two fried eggs and homemade chips out of this world!!! My partner had beef rigatoni which was piping hot, had my doubts when walked in with the area and it’s now heaving so nice to come to a bar and have amazing food,
I already knew this place had amazing pizza and fried chicken, and awesome music til late on a Friday & Saturday, but having found myself unable to work from home this past week cause of building work, I've now discovered that it's also the best place to hot desk from in the whole of east London. Fast wifi, nice relaxed environment, attentive staff, great coffee - I've had the most productive week maybe ever! Almost reluctant to share this info as I don't want to have to start fighting people for my booth!
First time in Martello Hall and the attention to detail from service, drinks and food are brilliant. Great variety of cocktails, pizza's are authentic and the service is fantastic. Worth a visit for sure.
Fab place.
Only gripe the chairs that are stuck together on the left hand side when you walk in. Make sure you don't get them. You can't move forward as stuck to another chair. Bad design
Get rid of em and have normal individual chairs as these don't work!
Food, service and ambience - fine and dandy!! Would recommend
Delicious pizzas and great service - couldn't have asked for more. The decor is really cool and it was a great spot to hang out for the afternoon with friends. Would highly recommend!
The food and atmosphere is great. its only been open for a few weeks so there are inevitable hesitations in the service (though the staff is friendly and enthusiastic), but give it a few weeks and I'm sure the execution will be faultless.
Lovely building. We were sat right at the back which means it took 15 minutes before we were even seen to but service was friendly.
The bacon sandwich was essentially three giant slices of bread (pretty much half a loaf) with a bit of bacon, mushroom and one fried egg. The size of the bread hides just how little filling there is for £8. Take the filling out and you've basically got enough for a folded slice of Warburtons.
The Barman upstairs was very very rude and it took ages to get a drink! I was my mates birthday and the barman put a real damper on things!
The bar tender was extremely rude simply because I touched his little cup on the counter. After that he yelled at me said he would not serve me anymore. He made me sad as I had honourable intentions. He refused to serve me - even when I asked for sparkling water. What was that about? Apart from this, good place, but it will stay in bad memory.
I can't tell how DISORGANISED this placed is. We went, ate in a group and ended up with an extra bill after everyone paying as the waiter couldn't get a grip. We paid twice for a very average meal. No apology, no manager to talk to, a TOTAL mess. Please avoid this place if you want your night not ruined by nonsense
