Martin Selman is a Glasgow born artist living and working in Newcastle in the North East of England.
His work crosses a variety of platforms with mixed media photographic and Super 8 film inspired drawing and installation in older work. There is evidence of raw experimentation in recent works that include explorations of landscape inspired abstracts. These are often interspersed with geometric pattern and forms with research sources including neolithic cups and rings and sacred geometry. His latest works combine found media with resin based constructs recycled materials: copper, debris, reclaimed wood, and paint layered within coloured resins.

Very sad to say I won't be on the Quayside for the forseeable future as I have taken a contract to work abroad (Baku, Azerbaijan)!!! I will however be working till August to finish around 50 or so small pieces to be sold in small shops and galleries around the region so keep an eye out!-)))
