We had a fantastic stay here this week caravan was in immaculate condition we did upgrade to prestige and couldn’t fault it, good size rooms clean throughout, well equipped kitchen we brought some of our own things just in case and none of them were needed. We were quite a walk away from the main complex but that suited us fine was lovely and quiet where we were, friendly staff easy quick check in if you arrive just before time.

Good size arcade and pool great size show bar couldn’t of asked for anything more.

Only one downside which really annoyed us at the time was Wednesday nights prize bingo when the rules were reversed, single tickets and a whole strip was on sale we purchased 2 at the cost of £20 to be then told that the winner would be the one who didn’t have any of them numbers which should of clearly been stated before the sales started and the whole strips shouldn’t of been sold considering they have every number possible on and the people who bought the whole strip were out of a chance to win before the game had started. So quite disappointed In that not enough to knock a star off though as everything else was perfect and we’ve already booked to come back this year

Well been here for 7 days and can't complain about the accommodation we paid for prestige and it was. Paid for one with decking which could of been a bit bigger but a minor detail. We were supposed to be in a quieter area " which we didn't ask for" but was quite happy to have, to be kept awake by a BIG family from Friday next door. They are very loud in the evening then they put on their own ethnic music on very loud. We'd already told the office in the day what they had been like from the previous night. They said they would send security around later to monitor the noise but I don't think they did because they had music and were very loud till very late, a good job we didn't put our grandchildren to bed till quite late. I found if it wasn't for the lazy pool it would be quite boring in the normal poor. So loved the lazy pool. Recommend the white pudding or haggis, but chips can be ok or crap. By the way don't mind noise ie people talking or music, but we don't all like the same stuff so I wouldn't have load music in a place like this anyway, as were all on top of each other.....

We were in a privately owned caravan which was spotlessly clean and included everything anyone would need.It had decking with table and chairs, just right for a wee wine in the evening. Also had great fish and chips from the site, the entertainment area was very busy and a bit hot so just went into Blackpool.

We didn't use the park much apart from the swimming pool. The boat house food was really nice. Spent most of our time exploring off the park. Caravan was lovely apart from the rock solid beds but I didn't expect much more honestly. Just got home and looking forward to getting a decent nights sleep but will definitely visit again

Stayed 4th June we were upgraded to a deluxe 3 bed which was fab and sort of clean luckily it wasn’t too close to the complex as it can get noisy, the site is huge and was still quite busy at this time (was hoping the kids were at school) the toddler park area was a real disappointment the slide was broken and boarded off there was a lot of litter and the bins were over flowing the amusements was extremely hot and there wasn’t a lot of seats in the show bar and the bottled alcohol was warm the kids show’s were ok but would of been better if they were longer than 15mins and the kids could get involved we only visited twice don’t know if this is the case every night. The on-site shop is well stocked we never visited the pool as there was so many people on site and it’s not open all day we knew it would be busy. The fish shop is nice but obviously higher priced, there is a kfc, Pizza Hut, McDonald, Tesco and Aldi near by so your never hungry. We just used it as a base as it was so close to Blackpool we would stay again but never in peak season the site is too big with not enough room in the complex

Just back from martonmere, two adults and three older teens, got a delux caravan was spotless, reception girls were very friendly as was staff in shop, which was not too dear, never realy went into show bar as kids preferred coral island in Blackpool at night,if you walk down to the mere nature walk it takes you into Stanley park/zoo in about 30 min walk, there is an open top bus(perfect for this weather) that takes you into coral island/ pleasure beach ,times are in the shelter at bus stop in park, thur,Friday, sat,is their later night times the bus will pick you up at those two stops at quarter two at coral island and on the hour at pleasure beach last bus at ten, cost is£25 for four people and£8 for kids for the week ,great price, and premier taxis are realy great and friendly, think kids are now getting too old for haven but was a good base for Blackpool

Just arrived home from a 7 day break here. Great site, friendly staff, good prices, food could have been better as myself and niece was sick after eating mince and my son (5) found a saw under a owners van (both reported)

Stayed in a deluxe caravan but didn’t feel like one, nothing like the other Haven sites we have stayed in (3).

Cleaning wasn’t great and we just had a mini fridge with a minier freezer and had nowhere to store all our food we’d taken along for the week.

Part from that we had a great holiday and are returning sometime

I thought the site was really nice. Mostly clean. Very large so didn’t see all of the site.

We stayed in a very nice 3 bed caravan with decking. It was fairly new and was cleaned to an okay standard (I’m a self employed cleaner so I have high standards anyways), but was roomy and well equipped.

We used the swimming pool one morning, went early but got busy very quickly. Very clean pool surrounding and pool it’s self. Lazy river was a nice part to the swimming pool area. The big slide was a bit of a issue as we were told to sit up while going down it but it pushes you that fast down it, that you end up flying backwards and banging your head on the slide.

We used the onsite restaurant for tea one evening, food was okay, not particularly warm but okay.

Slots were cool and myself and my family really enjoyed this part. Plenty to choose from and good little rides for little ones. Clean area but very warm! Could maybe do with air con.

The campsite is situated close to a very big Tesco which was ideal to stock up on some essential food for the caravan.

Blackpool it’s self was around a 5/10min drive away. Depending if you wanted to dive down the promenade or not.

The only bigger issue we had, is we thought it was really, really loud Friday and Saturday night until after midnight from the music at the complex, and when you have a small child, like myself, it was a bit of an issue at bedtime and even for us trying to chill on a evening.

Overall, I would return, however would ask to be placed in a quieter area of the park.

Great little site the only things I found that let it down was the poor food options compared to other sites it’s either eat at the restaurant or chippy on site or go into town another thing is the prices for food from the same restaurant and chippy

We ended up using the cooker in our accommodation more than the site options. Also the site appears to have a ban from having takeaway food delivered to your accommodation from outside as myself and my partner enquired only to be told you have to meet the driver at the gates of the site !

On a positive note the site is very scenic and has good views of Blackpool tower on clearer days and the mere/nature reserve right next to it provides a calming setting it is also very close to attractions like Blackpool zoo and Stanley Park they’re is a very big arcade to keep the kids occupied along with a swimming pool next door

Accommodation was very clean and tidy when we arrived and in a very quiet area of the site

Checked in 9th April came back today (Fri). Great place for kids, so mùch to do. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Caravan spotless and comfortable. Prices in the bar at night a bit steep. Only went in club area once and didn't stay as too busy and very hot! You'd have to be in there extremely early to get a seat and if that's what it's like in April I can see it being very busy July/August. Some great activities for the kids including building a survival shelter and fire lighting. Would defo visit again.

User

its a case of you get what you pay for really..haven is a "cheap" alternative,

Caravan was ok, did the job it was meant for, only problem we had was the poor quality tv aerial meant that we struggled to watch tv while in the room.

Food was nice enough i think not to expensive really,

Entertainment was typical holiday site stuff really kids loved the fun stars and had the usual dance about at night and we all enjoyed it,

My only 2 downsides that i would find fault with are the swimming pool is very slippy as you try walking around the edge (i was at the pool side all of 5 seconds and i slipped and near hit the floor) lost count of how many kids i seen slip and bang their heads..and the second is as with most camps the mobile signal i awful (but i doubt this is the park fault) could hardly get any phone signal or internet service and when you try using the wi-fi in the bars it was such a pain and constantly kicked us all off. would be go if these places made the wi-fi park wide rather than just the small locations

User

Good location, very close to centre of Blackpool. Very over crowded caravan park, badly sign posted, caravan was very basic (supposed to be deluxe!) Amenities very busy. Childrens entertainment was very poor standard (boring) no interaction with little ones. No toilet facilities in boat house restaurant or showbar, only ones available were in the arcades. No pathways to walk on had to walk on roads and avoid cars (no speed limits).

Was disappointed with this campsite and it’s staff, we booked a deluxe caravan and upon arrival it still hadn’t been cleaned properly (even though we arrived later than expected) the curtains were all falling off, there was a leak under the van and we had no hot water in the kitchen sink and no cold in the bathroom!!

Charlotte one of the team stars was rude to both my children told one of them his name was spelt wrong when he told her she had misspelled his name on his certificate and reduced the other child to tears when he didn’t know the song during the music kids audition she Just threw a book at him and told him to learn it by Thursday, he is 7!! All of the day time entertainment was fully booked and required paying for so we travelled out daily to the main sea front using the ‘recommended’ taxis on site which took forever to arrive, we waited 1hr and 20 mins one day! We sadly won’t be returning to this campsite because it’s not what we was expecting our holiday to be. I gave 2 * and that’s for the camp shop which was well stocked, reasonable price and had friendly staff. Feeling rather let down

User

Checked in Good Friday and the caravan given was great, spacious clean and warm we stayed on the St James area which was quiet a bit of a walk away from the main site but was fine for us. So the 2 stars are for the van I would give more but what follows is shocking.... my partner witnessed a horrible obviously very drunk Scottish woman hurl abuse at the poor guy behind the bar serving her drinks her words where “you f**king stink and then she proceeded to actually throw her money at the poor lad with further insults being thrown at him. Any way we finally found a seat in the boathouse only to witness a man kick off with a woman on another table. All this again in full view of my daughter. So then it gets worse all this on the same night may I add. I went outside to get some fresh air only to over hear a security guard having to call the police as a female had gotten into her car absolutely steaming drunk and tried to run him over...seriously this was not to late on in the evening and the thought of that woman could have possibly ran over a child I can’t even think about. So then the end of the night just as we where leaving it kicked off again with the security guard asking the man to leave the site all very abusive. I really wanted to like the haven holiday as my daughter loves caravan holidays but it’s safe to say we will never return to this site in fact any haven site if this is what happens. Rough is a understatement.

User

Won't be back again asked for upgrade that we paid for and was in a standard caravan 113pounds wasted even complained at reception and they wasnt to fussed as we have gone through 9.50 holidays rather than haven its self. oven broke and i had to go half way through holiday to see if they was going to come fix it as was ment to be repairs nothing on site for my 3year old was really disappointed

User

The caravan park is decent, but the Boat House for food I would avoid at all costs, found a hair in my nachos, the chips where coated in black bits fryers definitely need cleaned, macaroni tasteless and fish swimming with grease and could knock someone out with the chicken nuggets, disgusting. Totally awful never again. And you could be doing with a better swing park especially with the amount of kids here needs updating 100%

User

Terrible park! There was rubbish everywhere, cigarette buds all outside my caravan, hire goods werent in when arrived & didnt turn up till 8pm!! Caravan wasnt cleaned properly as items from previous guests where still in there. Plates filthy with chocolate & food still on them. Oh & hairs still in the shower!!

Awful customer service from the Fun Shop staff, Arcade staff & especially reception staff. No apology for anything, unhelpful & just plain rude!! Will be writing an official complaint as this was really unacceptable.

Ill certainly wont be returning to this park - i definitely do not recommend staying here.

User
