We're back with our Saturday Takeaway this week and we have two new sides for you to try out, Roasted Plantain and a Beetroot Salad. We've paired Gbegiri & Buka Stew together with white rice, boiled or pounded yam.
The menu for this week:
Mains... Gbegiri or Buka Stew w/ boiled or pounded yam, or white rice £3.50 Half and Half w/ boiled or pounded yam, or white rice £4
Sides Fried Plantain - 50p Beetroot Salad - 50p Boli w/ Pepper Sauce £1
* Gbegiri (a sure winter favourite) - A Yoruba soup cooked with Black Eyed Peas, Red Peppers, Tomatoes, Onions.
* Buka Stew - A vegan version of the Yoruba stew cooked with Peppers, Tomatoes, Scotch Bonnets, Sweet Potatoes and Butternut Squash.
* Boli w/ Pepper Sauce - Plantain, slow roasted and served with Pepper Sauce (red peppers, red onions, tomatoes and chilies).
* Beetroot Salad - An Ethiopian salad of Beetroot simmered in Olive Oil and Garlic. We have added a twist with a topping of toasted Sesame Seeds. (if you have sesame allergies, please let us know)
Once we're sold out, we're sold out for the day so make sure you place yours early. Collection times are between 4pm and 6:30pm on Saturday. We'll be taking orders up until 3pm on Friday.

This week we're cooking up for the mains Kontomire and Buka Stew with either boiled or pounded Yam, or white rice. We have Fried Plantain and a new Okra side dish.
You can get:... - Kontomire or Buka Stew w/ Boiled or pounded yam, or white rice £3.50 - Half and Half w/ boiled or pounded yam, or white rice £4 - Okra sides and Fried Plantain are an extra 50p each
*Kontomire - a Ghanaian dish of stewed spinach leaves, chilies, tomatoes and Agushi (melon) seeds.
*Buka Stew - a vegan version of the Yoruba stew cooked with peppers, tomatoes, scotch bonnets, sweet potatoes and butternut squash
*Okra side dish - Okra lightly grilled in a salt and herb seasoning
Once we're sold out, we're sold out for the day so place your orders early to make sure you get yours. Collection times for Saturday are between 4 and 6:30pm.

Masamba Saturday Takeaway is back this week.
This Saturday we're cooking up Ayamase w/ Sweet Potato, Red Red Beans, Coconut Rice and Fried Plantain.
You can get:... Ayamase or Red Red w/ Coconut Rice for £3.50 Half and Half w/ Coconut Rice for £4 Fried Plantain is an extra 50p

Working on some smaller snacky kind of foods. Saw a photograph of Bankye (grated Cassava) the other day and it started this project.
This is cocoyam balls. Our food processor shredded instead of grated them but the texture was actually pretty great. #Masamba

At Camp and Furnace 😎

We will be having a food stall at the Granby Four Streets Community Market this Saturday. It's the last one of the summer so make sure you come down and enjoy the day :)
