Thank you for visiting our page. My name is Matthew Horrocks, Edwards Opticians is my family run business. We have been providing eye care in Beverley for 80 years, we have a strong belief in offering you the highest personal service coupled with the optimum eye care. We have a long history with loyal patients some whom have attended for over 60 years. Our outlook is on the future using technology and techniques to provide you with eye examinations only dreamed about in community eye care only a few years ago.
We have invested heavily in the latest equipment to scan your eyes offering early detection of sight threatening diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration. I will go through these scans with you to explain any areas of concern that might have been detected and form an action plan to prevent sight loss. We provide various services for you including dyslexia clinics, dry eye clinics, minor eye condition treatment using our close links with the local hospitals and eye specialists and also a high quality hearing service with my colleague Evelyne Plotnicky Javan. I have a dedicated team led by our manager Becky Rial to help you through the examination, offering advice on the latest frames and lenses to get the best out of your eyes. We use the latest thinnest materials to give you clarity and comfort. These may be minimalist rimless spectacles or the latest fashion designs to keep you looking great and seeing great.
If you prefer I can fit you with the latest contact lens materials. I use the best lenses to give you sharp vision, amazing comfort and long term healthy eyes. For your convenience we can set up regular payment plans or if you prefer, you can pay as you go. We offer plans ranging from lenses only to our optimum care plans including lenses, solutions, all after cares, eye examinations and advanced scans and generous spectacle discounts in easy, affordable monthly payments.
We also have an onsite lab allowing us to offer you a while you wait service when your lenses are being updated or if your spectacles are in need of repair.
My wife Lucy and I were both brought up in Beverley and have family in the town and surrounding areas. Although we moved away to go to university we both came back to our home town to work, play and bring up our daughter here. I have now worked in Beverley from my first job over twenty five years ago and will still be here until I finally pass the reigns of the business on to my daughter, may be in another twenty five years!
