Ayah Marar has worked with acclaimed artists including Calvin Harris on "Thinking About You". A track which went Platinum. We have an acoustic set on Saturday evening from Ayah and her guitarist Pete which will blow you away. On stage 6pm Saturday.
Arrive early to avoid disappointment and get a good spot.<3

Chuffed to be stocking the saviours of cider Hawkes - all we need now is some Croydon ☀️. We’ve got the urban orchard apple cider and dead & berried mixed berry edition too. 💀
We’re doing this whole stock locally thing and we are delighted that these not only taste incredible but are pressed & fermented in London 🍏✨

The planet is in ecological crisis: we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event this planet has experienced. Scientists believe we may have entered a period of abrupt climate breakdown. This is an emergency.
In this public talk, climate speakers from Extinction Rebellion will share the latest climate science on where our planet is heading, discuss some of the current psychology around climate change, and offer solutions through the study of social movements.

What a beautiful day ☀️

Come and join London Sound and Vibrational Medicine in our theatre and experience the power of the Gong and therapeutic percussion as Victoria takes you up to heaven and back down to earth again in an hours immersive soundscape this Saturday from 12:30pm. More information in comments below ✨
Gongs are known to induce deep states of relaxation because of their wide range of harmonics inducing altered states of consciousness. Percussion is used to gently guide us back in to a full state of awareness as we increase the sound and intensity producing a climatic end. 🎶

“We heard you were closing down” You heard wrong. 😤
We’re open until 9pm tonight. Thank you Croydon for all the love, tagging us in your posts when you visit, generally being a pleasure to serve and always, ALWAYS checking in on us and giving each and every MY incarnation a chance.
... This weekend coming is set to be a busy one with a bridal shower, fundraiser, workshops and meetings so make sure you reserve a table on our website if you are a group passing through 🍺☕️❤️✨
P.S: We will let you all know when we have an update on our premises situation, we are definitely not closed or closing. Our sign did blow off the other week in that crazy wind and will remedy that ASAP 🌬

Did you know a packet of disposable pads contains the equivalent of 4 carrier bags worth of plastic & can take up to 500 years to bio-degrade? :(
1 in 10 girls & women aged 14 – 21 in the UK experience period poverty, which is an inability to afford menstrual products.
Come & join us on our first fabric menstrual pad sewing session. You’ll learn how to sew a pad for yourself & others. Sewing experience needed.
... Don’t worry if you can’t sew though, you can help cut out patterns or adding poppers.
All materials provided, although monetary donations or fabric (cotton, fleece, flannel) are welcome.
#BETHECHANGE.

Whatever I go here for its nearly always awesome. Quirky for food, drinks, events of all kinds. Shame I can't get there more often. Tweetups are monthly socials anyone can turn up to that I organise there too.

User

Very nice niche from the town. Staff and customers are nice. Children are welcome and they were well behaved. Not running around and you're not rushed to leave. Great place.

User

This place is excellent. Not many places can you go with a baby and pram with friends but this place is big enough to accommodate and they don't mind the odd crying baby! Tea/coffee/hot chocolate and cakes are fab too. Croydon needs Matthews Yard!

User

The of Croydon. Chill, good atmosphere, good people, good food + Table tennis and art. Great decoration of the place!

User

The chefs are flexible and it resulted in a happy and brave 10 year old who'd never experienced an un-cake muffin. The garlic potato hash was a winner...in fact they're better than chips. Playing Ping-Pong, Table Football and Pokemon was just the ticket. We shall be back to explore the Lounge and to find the Piano.

It's such a positive environment!

User

Thank you so much to Jamal at Theatre Utopia and everyone at Matthews Yard for making our run of 'Survival of the Fittest' such a fantastic one. We really couldn't have done it without you all. #GetLippy @LippyTheatre

User

Thank you once again to Matthews Yard for letting us host our event on the weekend! It was a special request all the way from Atlanta to host ShayJToday's European Album launch here!

You guys were very accommodating and the vibe was perfect all night. Look forward to collaborating once again!

My daughter Emma had a burger and loved it. I ordered the Spanish tray and that was fantastic. Enjoyed ourselves and will do it all again. Great staff too

User

I attended the play last night Amy Johnson - Last Flight Out at Matthews Yard, firstly the play was excellent all credit to Jenny Lockyer on her outstanding performance and secondly a great venue to watch a show. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Looking forward to another visit soon.

User

Hands down my favourite coffee shop in Croydon! Has something for everyone - good coffee, good burgers and great affordable art.

User

Had a lovely meal, they even made my burger up with my own low carb bun! So friendly, helpful and laid back.

User

Great place to meet for a leisurely brunch. Food good. Service excellent and fast. Really nice. Been back more than once now and will be back again soon.

User

Friendly atmosphere, where you can engage with strangers without it being weird! Great food and hospitality from Brgr & Beer in eclectic surroundings, with great music. Everything a great bar should have - well done Croydon!!

User

Best burger ever—except my mother-in-laws! It’s worth to go to East Croydon just for those burgers. Couldn’t be more delicious. Enjoying also all the street art around.

User

The burgers we had here were excellent - possibly the best I've had!

Only bottled beers on sale and quite an esoteric choice available, I'd like a decent bottle of real ale but there was nothing like that available. Had to go with wheat beer and/or larger.

User

MY is my go to place in Croydon for a relax, a coffee, a beer, a burger...or even to do some work.

User

Good atmosphere and good food and coffee. A quirky place where you can be yourself. Attended a workshop in the lounge which was rather dark as it has no windows.

User

Love this place as is really what Croydon needs. Great coffee, beers, burgers, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Having said this, the last two months I've noticed that my hair, skin, jacket and clothes in general smell really badly after having been there. There is too much grease/cooking in the air that just does not get ventilated. Please can you do something about this as it is really making me think twice about coming. It would be a real shame as I love the place..

User

I wish this place was as good as it used to be -and could still be - however today's visit left a lot to be desired. Dry, old cake and poor coffee plus really poor hygiene & cleaning standards. It'll be a while before I go back.

I really want the place to work, just a shame those running it don't seem to want the same.
