Regularly have fish and chips from here, always excellent. I've just come back from a travelling holiday in Isle of Wight, Weymouth and St Agnes yet none of their fish and chips were a match for Matts....

Only plaice pardon the pun where I will buy fish and chips in Stockport. I have been called by my Mum and Dad before now to give them a lift to this place to get there supper.

Myself and Caroline had meat and potato pie and chips n gravy best chippy for miles

If you have not been yet you need to go great food great service & best of all great value for money

I have known the family since the days of The Dolphin (in Reddish) when I travelled fairly frequently to dine in the restaurant there and, as I live not far from Matt's Plaice I will not use any other Fish & Chip establishment.



The premises are sparkingly clean and hygienic; there is an extensive menu and the food itself is extremely good quality and the owner, family and staff are very friendly and efficient.



Well worth a visit, even when there is a queue (which proves how good it is)!.



Highly recommended ***** 5 stars +
