MAX YOUNG RACING CLUB The club's winning mare Taboo goes to Chaddesley Corbett on Saturday in the Restricted. Placed in all 3 of her starts this season we hope she can be competitive again. Club members will be out in force to cheer her on.

The Club's new horse Classical Daytime gets his first outing for us at Bangor tomorrow. Hoping for a promising run in what are bound to be testing conditions. Photo of this good looking lad was taken at the yard yesterday. Tristan Durrell takes the ride. Best of luck to all concerned.

It’s all about TABOO! What a great day for the newly formed racing club. Under a cool ride from Kai Lenihan to record only his second victory riding, taboo scores cosily by around 10l to take the mares and fillies maiden at Ffos las. Leading from flag fall the combination made all jumping impeccably and costing clear turning for home with Kai keeping her up to work close to the line in attritional conditions! We would like to thank all of the club member for their support an...d also all the staff for their continuing hard work to make days like today happen!.. not forgetting Alan and Joy (Lizs parents) who have the task of babysitting Ava day in day out to help us concentrate on the horses!... Taboo is a remarkable mare, ridden daily by Liz, who previous to this season has never ridden a racehorse let alone exercise one on the gallops, so not only is she winning for us she’s a real star at home! #Winning #Taboo #Maidenwinnerat10 #MaxYoungRacingClub

Pleasing start to the season, Taboo giving the team the most to shout about, leading from flag fall and putting in a bold round of jumping to be headed at the last and finishing third only beaten a length; considering she has a mere official rating of 60 she looks like she could give the racing club a lot of fun. Baby Jake and Second Chapter both made bad mistakes and that ended their chances of being competitive at the business end but plenty to be positive about. 🐎🐎

First runners of the season for the club at Cottenham today. No luck for Baby Jake whose chance went with an early jumping mistake in the Conditions but a very good run from Taboo (pictured below) finishing 3rd beaten a length in the Open Maiden.
