The clinical staff are excellent, bar an occasional blip, which would be absolutely fine if the systems and management of the place wasn't a complete shambles.

The communication with patients is, how do I put this politically, shocking. The time taken for a repeat prescription to be be produced is what I can only describe as glacial.

And forget about the appointments system; it wasn't great before the merger, then it got progressively more stressed by it. The new system is so time-consuming and discouraging that the only real recourse I have is to find another practice where I can work out what the hell I have to be suffering from to get an actual appointment.

Whoever is responsible for the systems and procedures at the practice needs to take a good, hard look at the comments here and in other public forums (like the NHS ones) and make some changes.

But after 10 years here, I'm out. I really can't take the stress of it all... I'm going to find a practice where I can get a repeat prescription the same week I order it, hopefully for the things I've ordered too.

Things are getting better than they were. It would be good to return to the system we had. Do not like the way it is now. Dr.'s good and staff.J.S.

Since joining forces with Cherrybrook, Mayfield has hit the skids. Getting an appointment is near impossible. Meds order a week ago on collection are still short, and not for the first time either have I got to go back again Monday and get them. Not making me sign for drugs that must be signed for, lost count the number of times now that I've walked out without signing for them.

At this moment in time this doesn't even warrant a single star unless its a minus star then it would get all 5 for the current service that's offered.

Its like you have to know on what date you are going to be ill so you can book appointment to see the doc

Impossible to get an appointment for my daughter - I have been trying for three days and told there is a new system and they leave a message for a doctor to make an appointment and we will be informed when this will be - this is madness! Terrible service

Shocking Service!.

Trying to get an appointment is hard enough.

Today I called regarding a lump on my back/ that I have had for a fair while on my shoulder blade, which has now got bigger and needs to be removed or drained as it's causing me quite some discomfort to my neck!!

Anyway I didn't even get to speak to a doctor or nurse let alone be offered an appointment, instead i got told that I'm to go to Mount Stuart and pay for it privately!?!?!?!?

I'm glad my heard earned tax money is being spent so well

Anyway having spoken to NHS on the phone this is something they could and should have dealt with just as a non emergency appointment which is what I was after!!!!

I get your busy there but seriously pull your finger out and stop fobbing people off!!!!

I will be in soon with my complaint and to swap to a different surgery,

Absolutely shocking!
Almost impossible to get an appointment after spending at least 30 minutes waiting on the phone time after time. . . and that is first time in the morning. I had to move doctors to get my child an appointment with another surgery after three days in a row being unable to book an one with Mayfield.
Too many patients for too few doctors and too few receptionists yet they still are advertise for new patients!
Maybe they get paid by how many patients they have registered and it is all about the money? ? ?
